Today's Surprised Summit At The DMZ Was Covered Extensively By North Korea's Media

Yonhap News Agency: N. Korea's media extensively report 2nd inter-Korean summit

SEOUL, May 27 (Yonhap) -- The surprise summit between South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has been extensively reported in the North's media targeting its own people.

On Saturday, Moon and Kim met at the truce village of Panmunjom, reaffirming the goal of complete denuclearization and vowing to work together for a successful U.S.-North Korea summit and accelerate inter-Korean exchanges. The summit followed their historic April 27 meeting that produced the Panmunjom Declaration.

The Rodong Sinmun, Korean Central Television and the Korean Central Broadcasting Station, known to be mostly targeting the domestic audience, reported in detail on the Saturday summit.
