It looks to me like the "star" of this has,been Kim Jong Un. He and his entorourge are getting the most attention.

Trump and his team are there to negotiate and aren't concerned about who the "star" is. Petty people can worry about such things.

America needs concrete results here. Let's hope and pray this doesn't turn out to be a "clusterf#$k."

That's the point. Nothing is happening. It's theater.

The best we can hope for is that they agree to meet again and no missiles are tested or threats are issued in the interim.

Agreed!! While much can still go wrong, I primarily credit Trump for the progress that has been made to date. While my "take" could be wrong, he's the only new variable.

I wouldn't expect this summit to solve all outstanding issues or even any of them. Positive progress will be important. America MUST have peace. As such, progress really is needed. In the absence of such progress other options can be pursued.

An agreement to meet again means relationships have been forged would actually be a good thing. This won't be fully solved in one meeting.

Our country is in very serious, delicate, and intense negotiations. The lives of millions of Americans could well hinge on the ultimate success or failure of this process and no we won't solve this with one summit.

You're comparing this to a date with a girl!! Very respectfully you come across as being an unserious person.

With that said if she lets you take her photo that's progress.:-) In the same vein so to speak, if Kim allows Trump to take a photo with him that would be progress as this would provide some legitimacy to the positions of Trump and the US. I'd like more progress but that would be a good start. Depending upon the circumstances it might just be enough for a first meeting.

After all just a few months ago Kim was threatening to anniahalate us. Then to pose for a photo with POTUS or simply at the summit!! He's legitimized America's position!! Even getting Kim to agree to attend is progress and a victory in and of itself for America. More will be needed though.
