CNBC: Trump says he would invite Kim Jong Un to the US if Singapore talks go well
President Donald Trump said Thursday that he would "certainly" invite North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un to the United States if next week's nuclear summit in Singapore goes well.
Such a visit — which Trump added could take place at the White House — would be remarkable after decades of minimal contact between the U.S. and the communist dictatorship. The talks next week will mark the first time an American president and North Korean leader meet face-to-face, as the U.S. aims to push Pyongyang to abandon its nuclear and missile programs and ease concerns about the prospect of armed conflict.

WNU Editor: This blogger did predict earlier this year that in the future there is going to be a Trump - Kim meeting in the Oval Office. I just did not expect it to happen so soon. By making this offer President Trump is extending a huge carrot to Kim Jong-un .... a carrot that his father and grandfather could only dream about when they were ruling North Korea. It is also still too early to know where these talks will eventually lead .... but the expectations in both South Korea AND especially in North Korea is that we are closer to peace on the peninsula than we have been since the Japanese occupation of Korea before the Second World War. One can only hope and pray that the all the leaders who are involved in this current round of talks do not let everyone down.

he wont make it back to north korea if he ever does go to usa
Heads continue to explode. Trump is one of the most disruptive figures of the 21st century and also for the last half of the 20th.
Everyday he disproves the maxim I was taught that elections don't matter.
Maybe host the meeting on Alcatraz and hold him as ransom lol. The supreme leader in captivity would be quite the turn of events. What would the Norks do if that happened?
