The PLA just completed a =series of exercises for it special operations forces (SOF). But how good are they?
The Chinese People’s Liberation Army has completed a massive series of exercises for it special operations forces (SOF) in the city of Guilin in China’s Guangxi Province.
The exercises, which are called Ingenious Special Operations Soldier-2018, are the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) ground forces’ first ever such assessment of their special operations capability.
“The assessment and contest covered all basic and compulsory training subjects of the special operations of the PLA Army,” PLA Army officer in charge of the exercise told ChinaMil —an “authorized by the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and sponsored by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) News Media Center.”

American forces have plenty of combat experience. Unfortunately they've been worn down to the breaking point and the leadership is poor and the American people aren't goung to support such a fight without a VERY good reason.
Give me an inexperienced person with enthusiasm or a worn down person with experience who lacks enthusiasm but is well "trained." As an employer myself, give me the inexperienced but enthusiastic pwrson ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!! Such people can be taught and can learn new tricks. Furthermore this person has the backing pf friends of family. In this case, this is the Chinese people. In contrast, our country treats its military personnel like sh!t!! Conclusion: China would win a "conventional" war against America. They would do so quite easily without even breaking a sweat. Our only option would be the nuclear one. I do hope POTUS fixed our nuclear arsenal as he said he did upon assuming office. Otherwise we have a "prayer" and that's about it.
The current trade agreement needs to be renegotiated with China. POTUS has been talking rather tough with regards to China. As such, the tentative conclusion is he really did upgrade our nuclear arsenal and get the appropriate people in place to actually get this done. We really do FINALLY have a credible nuclear deterrent thanks to the leadership of POTUS!!

The US does treat its military like sh!t. Try being pulled through the gears of the VA. I have friends who have. We won't even give our military the dignity of a simple parade!!
I stand by the previous comment. As an employer, give me the inexperienced who has enthusiasm and support over the experienced but worn down who has no such support any day of the week. I have real world experience in this area. Conclusion: right now China wins a conventional war against America and does so quite easily. Perhaps there are variables I did not account for. Maybe the conclusion is wrong. As Sun Tzu pointed out, know your enemy, know yourself, win every battle.
