Look at who wrote the "lodestar" speeches for Pence, and you probably have the writer of the op-ed.

WNU,
Given the circumstances now existing, it is quite possible that this op-ed originated entirely within The New York Times.

WNU,
I forgot to add that the only real question is "who is it's intended audience?".

"Senior official responds to NYT op-ed about a 'resistance' inside the White House: 'I hope Trump knows ... that there are dozens and dozens of us'"

Start here: David Frum, editor of The Atlantic, said on tv that the person behind the NY Times piece should instead have gone public and quit his job.
ok. Now the article says the two parties need to unite and impeach the president. Oh? But if it were Pence, and he resigned, and Trump impeached, who would become president by default? So Mr Frum, if the writer were Pence, then we know why he would not go public and resign.

‘The Onion’ Has Chosen To Publish An Anonymous Op-Ed From Two Sources Close To Trump Who Think Their Dad Is The Best President Ever

Reporters have made up sources before. This would only be breaking ground in that a group of people are colluding to bring forth a false story.

Mark Levin believes that the story is true.

What we have if this is true is a person working for a cause they do not believe in.

That is like McNamara running the Vietnam war, when he did not believe the U.S. would win. How honest was that?

I can see why they would oppose Trump. They must believe full employment is bad and other nonesense.
