NBC News: Iranian boats approach Navy ship in Persian Gulf while U.S. general aboard
A U.S. officer said an Iranian sailor issued a threat by radio, warning that if the Essex kept flying a chopper the Iranians would shoot at it.
PERSIAN GULF — Two Iranian Navy fast boats came close to the USS Essex, a U.S. Navy assault ship, and at least one of the other ships in the Essex Amphibious Ready Group in the Persian Gulf Friday while a top U.S. general was aboard.
The armed Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy FIACs (fast inshore attack craft) approached both the USS Rushmore and the Essex, coming within about 300 yards of the Essex at one point.
NBC News was on the ship's bridge during part of the incident.
Gen. Joseph Votel, commanding general of U.S. Central Command, was visiting and watching from the bridge as the Iranian FIACs moved closer to the Essex and as one cut straight in front of the ship's path.

Not even in their wet dreams. Can you imagine the hell Trump and the US military would unleash on them? That bitch slap would be heard around the world, and arguable could be picked up by the Keppler telescope once its ripples left our solar system.
I kind of want to see it.. but then again. .I don't want some poor Iranian to die who thought -after listening to upbeat Iranian music and perhaps smoking a bit too much - that he would get away with it to tell his friends

Trump would use Iran to set an example -- CNN will of course report it like this 24/7 for 2 weeks with breaking news: "MASS MURDER ON HIGH SEA, TRUMP ORDERS EXECUTION OF IRANIAN CHILDREN IN HOSPITAL" (and then several days later, 2 pages below a deeply hidden article, and in fine print: Children might have been males over the age of 21 and armed soldiers in civilian clothes, shooting at US Marines from a military ship disguised as hospital ship). And that would be an honest day for CNN, perhaps the most honest since 2001
