The pipe bombs anonymously sent to the addresses of prominent Democrats across the United States each had matching characteristics, law enforcement officials revealed Wednesday evening.
The crude devices were contrived of PVC tubing attached to a digital clock, available for purchase on Amazon. They included sulfur as explosives and shards of glass as shrapnel.
X-ray images obtained by ABC News provide a more detailed look at the explosive devices that also include a battery as well as wiring to initiate an explosion.

WNU Editor: Law enforcement is telling everyone to be careful with these bombs if they come across it. I am not a bomb expert, but looking at these pictures my gut tells me that these contraptions will not explode unless someone lights up a match to ignite the sulfur that (according to the Police) was present. In short .... and someone has to ask the question .... if it was not for the sulfur present, are these"fake bombs" to look like a bomb?

I've only seen media excuses for violence by Antifa who the media equates with heros. Yet those people are just like any thuggish mob, violence over free speech, tolerance and civility.
So what is most likely here? Given the bombs weren't functional, easily spotted and sent only to lefties?

Look, I have known more than a few of what could definitely be considered right wing extremists. Even the ones that were dumber than a box of rocks knew that you need a primary explosive detonator to set off the secondary explosives.
Let me frame it this way. The picture being painted makes it look like a lone, deranged, and massively ignorant individual that has avoided the overwhelming trend for right wing extremist to study weapons and explosives.
To boil it down further, This is supposed to be a militant right wing individual that knows fuck all about the subject.
I just don't buy it. We know the person had to have some ability to use the internet, because they were able to find the addresses of multiple people living in private residences. Sure he could probably ask the Post Master, but we are talking about someone who is paranoid and hostile enough to supposedly send explosives in the mail.
The timing is also weird. If it was social stress and rhetoric that got to the guy, why now? 2016's election season was far worse. Even in this round of elections the time around the Kavanaugh confirmation process was far more wild than right now.
It seems unlikely is all I am saying. It very much could be some random idiot doing this. After all the capacity for human stupidity IS infinite.

I refuse to point to this or that one or party as the cause of the bombs delivered. I do wait till those professionals catch the culprit and make public their finding. I do, though, know that this is what pours gas on a potential fire.
