NBC: Record turnout upends midterm predictions
On Meet the Press, Tom Brokaw, Savannah Guthrie, Kasie Hunt, Cornell Belcher and Hugh Hewitt explore why polling can't keep up with record turnout
With Election Day just two days away, both the candidates and major party committees are gearing up for a historic midterm that will provide the first major referendum on President Donald Trump's first two years in office.
Democrats appear to poised to make big gains in the House, challenging in many GOP-held seats. But it's unclear whether they will be able to win the 23 seats they need to take control of the House.
Republicans are hoping a favorable map in the Senate can help weather the storm and give their party something to crow about when the dust settles.
And both sides are competing furiously in governors races, where more than half are up for grabs.
Historic levels of enthusiasm on both sides of the aisle, confirmed by a brand new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, are complicating the forecasting, leaving both sides anxiously awaiting Tuesday's results.

WNU Editor: I rarely watch "Meet The Press", but I did so this morning. There was no confidence of a Democrat blue-wave from the show. What I saw was the exact opposite. Doubt. Uncertainly. Some anger. And definitely a lot of frustration that Tuesday's result may be a big disappointment for Democrats. People on these shows are paid an enormous amount of money to present their facts, analysis, and predictions. IMHO they failed today.

So the "experts" on MTP provided a consistent reason not to watch the show again?
MTP is DC's version of a circle jerk.
MTP is affectionately known as 'Meet the Depressed.'
Anything predicting a "blue wave" is likely wrong. The pundits predicting such have a very bad travk record. As such, they aren't trustworthy but as has been said "a broken clock is right twice a day." We will know the outcome on election day. Until then we cannot "know."
This is great news and I thank every single Democrat for not coming out to vote for this bunch of candidates and currently elected senators and congress-men/women who have brought shame to this country by encouraging mob violence and walking over key pillars of this society: due process and the presumption of innocence. The intimidation tactics ranging from Maxine Waters and Hillary Clinton's verbatim call to an end of civility until they are back in power, must have shocked most normal Democrats into realizing "maybe the evil people are among us too and not just always in the Republican party as our team claims". Thank you, normal people! We cannot let the mob and Antifa rule our streets and harass people just because they disagree with them.
Keep this up and you can expect a big bonus WNU editor!
Rubes require riling.
I think "Rube" Anon should be banned from WNU. All it does is drop insulting mouse turds on the carpet and then runs off like the coward it is. I don't believe I've read anything from Rube Anon other than simple-minded insults. Including the above one directly aimed at the blog owner.
I say either back up your rotten, group-think insults or get the fuck out of here.
Or get the fuck in here and deal with me.... in more than your one line insults.
SINCERELY,
R,
