DW: Germany, Europe see little hope for Trump policy change after US midterm election
Berlin isn't expecting Trump to change his "America First" stance following the US midterm elections, Germany's foreign minister said. Other German and European politicians hailed the results as a setback for Trump.
Although Democrats made electoral gains in Tuesday's midterm elections, officials in Germany and other European Union countries said they do not believe the results will prompt a change in US President Donald Trump's approach to foreign policy.
"It would be a mistake to expect a course correction from Donald Trump now," German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas wrote on Twitter.

Germany and Europe should just get over themselves. It's not like their track record is any better, right, Frau Merkel - who needs to step down now after a failed immigration policy? Take note.
Careful what you wish for EU'ers.
These new Dems could give a crap about you and the billions the US spends to defend you. They are also just as protectionist on trade, if not more so, than Trump. They also don't care all that much about being an "Atlanticist".
The EU's problem isn't a Dem vs Rep because the GOP is broadly with you. The Dems are increasingly apathetic about Atlantic solidarity.
The EU is a further step removed from accountability than Merkel.
It does not mean that they are safe or cannot be removed. It will take longer. They too will be voted out,
The EU structure is rotten and it is ruled by arrogant incompetent people.
