Who Would Win In A U.S. - China Naval Clash In 2020?
Harry J. Kazianis, National Interest: China vs. America: Who Wins a Naval Clash in 2020?
It won't be easy for either nation. That much is certain.
Things seem to get worse, as the authors articulate that “U.S. and allied forces must be able to operate with only localized domain control,” a scary thought to say the least.

China, they could potentially hide anti ship missile launchers all over the region. American would fight a foreign war for as long as possible, therefore would situate most of their fleets in SEA. That been said, Aircraft carriers can inflict massive damage, we are talking the destruction of China within days, weeks. Even if China could defeat the fleets, their ability to wage any war would be massively limited. It would come down to Russians ambition to launch its nuclear arsenal or not too.
Makes sure you get your daily does of strontium.
US subs would decimate the entire PRC navy. Not even a contest.
We have more luck to win lotto than to predict war.
Difference is China will lose 5000 sailors without blinking. The u.s public would demand the govt sue for peace .
Odds are such a war would go nuclear no way you can fight it without someone deciding to go all the way.
