President Donald Trump accused Nancy Pelosi of 'canceling' his State of the Union address on Wednesday after a fiery exchange of letters in which she told the president he would only be welcome in Congress when the government shutdown is over.
He admitted shortly after that he would not be delivering the speech as planned on Jan. 29 to a Joint Session of Congress.
'The State of the Union speech has been canceled by Nancy Pelosi, because she doesn't want to hear the truth. She doesn't want the American public to hear what's going on. And she's afraid of the truth,' he said. 'The American people want to hear the truth. They have to hear the truth.'

Here's how this will probably go. Trump will declare a state of emergency and order the Army Corps of Engineers to begin construction of the wall. The Dems will immediately run to the 9th Circuit and halt the order. It will then squabble its way through the Appellate Courts to end up on the Supreme Court Docket right in time for the 2020 election cycle.
By then Ginsberg will have been replaced and the wall funding order will withstand SCOTUS scrutiny. The Dems will be the "Make America Mexico Again" party.
Re: the SOTU delay, with the declaration of emergency, the shutdown will end. Thereby satisfying the stated rational for Democrat intransigence. Trump will then be "welcomed properly" into the House Chamber for the State of the Union Address.
(wherein the Dems will promptly urinate themselves, making the SOTU a Kavanenaugh sequel with full on wailing and shrieking and banner waving)
BTW: Pelosi is an arrogant crone fighting for her miserable political life. She's got a legion of progressive fascists as her new Democrat freshman class. If it even looks like she caves in to Trump, she'll get her craggy ass tossed from her perch.

You are correct that China regards Trump as a puzzle, but only by accident. Trump has not "mishandled" Asia. Far from it. Opening Vietnam and talks with NorK. Plus Japan enhancing its Self Defenses do not help China. South Korea is bristling with the best Military in Asia.
