A Look At Germany's Army In Numbers

Local: More women soldiers and less equipment: A look at Germany's army in numbers

On the first day of the Munich Security Conference, we look in numbers at Germany's armed forces, and the direction that they will be heading in the future.

Friday marks the first day of the weekend-long Munich Security Conference, in which 500 security experts – and over 4,000 police protecting them – will gather at the Bayerischer Hof hotel in Bavaria's capital to discuss the state of security in Germany and abroad.

It's a key time for keeping an eye on Germany's military, which has been slowly dwindling in size, but maintains its importance due to its role in NATO, still-active peacekeeping missions around the world, and its own internal defence.

WNU Editor: So what is the state of the German military. Not enough personnel. Not even money. Not enough equipment. Not enough training. Not enough political and public backing and support.

That's the Peace Dividend working. The money was spent elsewhere. Now, the EU military is weaker but I do not see Russia invading like back in the 70's and 80's. They do not have the Military to do that anymore. So, no big deal.

Pretty much. Whether we could or not, we're just not going to; and even if we decided to, there's Poland in the way to take the hit. Germany has no need for a big military, and if it had one, it'd be more tempted to use it in some foreign quagmire.

Nancy Pelosi spoke highly of the multiplier effect of paying welfare payments to people who do not work and have no skills. I have never understood this messed up hokum of a Democrat argument. It is compleat shit.

How is the multiplier effect different for an E4 or E5 and an easy money sofa-reclining welfare recipient? Is there a bigger multiplier when an overweight welfare recipient spends Moolah than when and E5 spends their paycheck? There might be.

The welfare transfer payments might more likely end up in the underground economy of drugs and blow. So there might be a difference.

"It is the biggest bang for the buck when you do food stamps and unemployment insurance. The biggest bang for the buck," - Nancy Pelosi

Somehow when a welfare recipient spends a welfare dollar it generated $1.79 of economic activity.

But when an E5 spend a dollar it generates nothing. The E5 and the welfare mama both can buy groceries but it only counts when th mama does it.

Voodoo economics by the Democrap party.
