Al Jazeera: Khamenei's 'Death to America' aimed at 'US leaders, not people'
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's remarks came as Iran marks the 40th anniversary of its 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has defended the "Death to America" chants that are a standard fare at anti-US rallies across Iran, but said the slogan was aimed at American leaders and not its people.
Khamenei's website on Friday quoted him as saying the chant meant "death to US leaders, death to [US President Donald] Trump and John Bolton and [Mike] Pompeo".
"It means death to America's rulers ... we have nothing against the American people," he said.

He's just realistic. Democrats right now are willing to give voice to, and cheer on anyone who tries to badmout, impeach or harm Trump. Anything goes. Gang rape accusations without presumption of innocence, mobs, using fbi to spy on you... .anything. so why not try to use this? Why not him? After all everyone on the left is trying to make money off this still. People are forming off,even the dumbest parrots are 2-3 years. .but there is still money to be made and twitter outrage to be had. Why shouldn't he get a talking head salary and show on some left wing media talkshow? Brennan sold himself out. Many did. Do you think Don Lemon and that lady in the view are that retarded? No. They just play along because parrots still watch it. And the Iranian leader might get some support by some Democrats for going after Trump. It's such an obvious pay-to-talk-shit pyramid scheme the even Iranians are now trying to get in on it. That's how insane the left is.
