Prime Minister Justin Trudeau found himself in the opposition's crosshairs Thursday following a report that he pressed former Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould to intervene in the prosecution of construction giant SNC-Lavalin on charges of fraud and corruption.

WNU Editor: The former Canadian Justice Minister is saying nothing .... thereby fuelling speculation that she was pressured to intervene in a fraud case involving a huge engineering company that is also a major donor to Trudeau's political party. I do not know where this case is going, but I do know that the government's handling of these accusations today were horrible. If this is not cleared up in the next day, this will be a major story in Canada for the next few days/weeks/months.

You might wonder what kind of pressure the PMO could put on a justice minister to have them not do their job such that it would be worse than the consequences you would face when that tidbit of news hit the presses. Just imagine if that justice minister, on becoming the recipient of that pressure had made it known to the public and resigned their portfolio accordingly.
unknown source could have been called in from across the floor of the house sounds like a Trump like trick which party is most associated with Trump tactics
