DW: Cuba to widen food rationing as supply crisis bites

Havana says it will extend the rationing of food and other products in the face of hardened US sanctions. The political and economic crisis in Venezuela is also partially to blame.

The Cuban government will widen the wholesale rationing of staple food items and other basic products in the face of a grave supply crisis, Commerce Minister Betsy Diaz Velasquez said Friday.

She said some items, such as chicken, would be limited to a fixed amount per purchase or per customer.

Other items, including eggs, rice, beans and sausages, would only be available to buy with a ration card, and would be limited to a maximum monthly amount.

Anon 2:28,

Not only are you stupid but you are full of bovine excrement and bile.

"Per the report, the company has raised the average wage for a full-time, hourly associate to $14.26, which comes to $25,000 a year. The range is $11 an hour to $24.70 an hour, according to ABC News. Most of these employees work full time on an average of 37 to 38 hours a week."

Two Walmart workers would make 50,000 a year. You can live on that. I have. If you cannot live on that then you live in a deep blue, a deep cyanotic state run b\y mean vicious, stupid liberals.

Meanwhile those 2 high school graduates could avail themselves of the local community college and if they did not have privilege that God Forsaken liberals always caterwaul about, they could take them government on this privilege:

Upward Bound Program

https://www2.ed.gov/programs/trioupbound/index.html

How do I know about it? I looked it up.

How did I know to look it up? I spend a lot of time in my local community college taking courses. I passed by the Upward Bound office often.

You can learn auto tech, HVAC, plumbing, other trades, computer programming or just a very inexpensive first two years of four year degree.

It is out there for the taking. But we all know the game. Liberals get off on being outraged. They are outrage monkeys.

I have seen plumbers go from making less money than me working out of a van to making more money than me and opening a succession of ever larger stores. There is a plumber shortage in America. There is money to be made. Still liberals are outraged that they cannot make a living off of a degree in diversity studies. Outraged to the last!

the outcomes today at community colleges are often dismal. While 81 percent of first-time community college students say they wish to earn a bachelor’s degree or more, after six years,1 only 12 percent do so; two-thirds fail to get even an associate’s degree or certificate after six years.
ps: Community colleges also funded by ...socialism! federal money! as is every single university and college in the US! socialism!
G.I. Bill? socialism!

GI BIll

"Harry W. Colmery, Republican National Committee chairman and a former National Commander of the American Legion, is credited with writing the first draft of the G.I. Bill."

Compensation for services rendered comes in many forms, salary, hourly wages, bonuses and other benefits.

Pre-Nixon, military pay for enlisted was crap. Pre-Nixon would include WW2 for those of you who are liberal/stupid.

If you are away for 4 or 4 years you are not going to college or working your way up the job ladder in some organization (r.g a factory). So there is an opportunity cost to being called up especially, when the Commander in Chief is stupid, senile and not in his right mind like Democrat FDR. I mean the blue blood, silver spoon in his mouth, when he was born FDR lengthened the war by a whole year by detouring to North Africa. So people like Eugene Sledge and Paul Fussell had to postpone college, opportunity cost.

The GI Bill is an earned benefit that made up for the lost opportunity.

"community colleges also funded by ...socialism! federal money"

"Socialism is a range of economic and social systems characterised by social ownership of the means of production and workers' self-management"

Students do not manage colleges and when they do, the colleges are shit ... like Evergreen State college.

Everything that is a group activity or effort is not automatically socialism. 4:19 needs to be a clue (or a million clues).

Sad really when an English major confuses definitions of words on purposes or due to senility.

Well squirrel, there are some smart people here who ably point out you don't know what you are talking about ( as usual). Fortunately not knowing what you are talking about has never fazed you in the least. I truly look forward to the next inane post you make along fantastic links (see Poynter List).
