FOX News: Pentagon approves plan to shift $1.5B for wall along US-Mexico border
The Pentagon has approved a plan to spend an additional $1.5 billion to build 80 more miles of wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, a U.S. defense official confirmed to Fox News Friday.
Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan approved the re-allocation of funds, which were originally earmarked for support of Afghan security forces and other projects, to help pay for the wall along the southern border.

While I don't disagree with this moving of funds, I'd like to see some/all of this money diverted to reduce the nat'l debt. It's out of control.
There was a time when $1.5 billion expenditures were eyebrow raisers. Now I don't bat an eye at $10 billion and I found during the last decade I'm becoming numb to trillions of one or two.
This indebtedness I now believe will never be paid off. For you and me, debt has consequences, for this government, almost none. And should there be consequences on a governmental level, you and I will get the bill in some form or another.

Here is my further point. Let's say that a 50% tax rate is necessary to pay the piper. And let's say that The Biden family wants to live a 5 million dollar lifestyle.
Well it is easy. Joe Biden calls up and say we need to do a deal for 10 million. Joe does not ink the deal. It will be his son, grandson, son-in law, daughter-in-law, 1st cousin, good friend (who will turn around and scratch his back), etc.
Joe Biden will happily pay the taxes knowing that he can get a deal or series of deals to make the money he needs for a jet set lifestyle no matter the tax rate.
It is the same stratagem that a monopoly or oligopoly has when it welcomes regulation. they know with heavy regulation that their market share is secure, because heavy regulation will ensure no new competitors get into that particular market.
Ask Joe Biden if he wants a high tax rate if him and all of his associates do not have any government leverage from high office.
High debt will not affect government or goventeers.

The loss proves the maxim the power to tax is the power to destroy. Congress changed the rules mid stream in 1986 in relation to real estate. Could Trump have foreseen it? Did anyone foresee it more than a month or a year before it happened?
