Britain's Ambassador To The U.S. Resigns After Leaked Cables Describing President Trump's Administration As Inept

Daily Mail: Britain's ambassador to the U.S. RESIGNS after Trump mocked him as 'stupid' and a 'pompous fool' for calling him 'inept' in leaked diplomatic cables

* Sir Kim Darroch has quit as Britain's ambassador to the United States saying it was 'impossible for me to carry out my role as I would like'
* Leaked memos showed Darroch's scathing assessment of Donald Trump as inept and insecure
* UK's ambassador to the U.S. had questioned in the secret cables to London whether the White House 'will ever look competent'
* Also said 'worst cannot be ruled out' over allegations of Russian collusion
* Trump tweeted Monday that he 'will no longer deal with him,' signaling the end of Darroch's functional term as the UK's top diplomat
* On Tuesday the president called him a 'pompous fool' and said Britain's outgoing PM Theresa May was 'a disaster'
* May sided with Darroch after his resignation, saying: 'Good government depends on public servants being able to give full and frank advice'
* And she tweeted a picture of her with John McCain's widow Cindy
* Brexit Party leader and Trump ally Nigel Farage said Darroch quitting was 'the right decision'; he is already being rumored as a possible Darroch replacement

Sir Kim Darroch, the United Kingdom's ambassador to the U.S., resigned Wednesday as his position in Washington became more and more untenable following a Donald Trump freeze-out.

Trump said Monday that he would retaliate against Darroch by ignoring him completely, as punishment for harsh language about him in secret cables leaked to The Mail on Sunday.

By Tuesday he was tweeting that 'wacky' Darroch was 'a very stupid guy' - and that Britain's prime minister Theresa May was 'a disaster.'

Darroch said Wednesday: 'The current situation is making it impossible for me to carry out my role as I would like.'

Ok so now we know that both Trump and May held their tongues on how much they disliked each other since Nov 2016. Now free expression is underway and I loved May's jab with that picture of Cindy McCain for its perfect needle jab.
May is the most incompetent PM I can recall, well Gordon Brown is right there with her, but I give the gal props for that picture.

Merkel, May, & Macron have no children.

It is said that May could not have any, which would be sad, but I doubt the story. If a woman has endometriosis for example it is harder to conceive, but she may with or without a doctor's help. About 15% of couples cannot have children or need assistance, so that she says she could not have children is almost believable. Except no with the intervention of modern medicine, I think that number is very much lower like in the single digits.

So it seems more as an excuse really.

Many people have pointed out that they do not trust people like Merkel, May, & Macron, because they have no children and thus do not care about the future. IT is not proof using Boolean logic, but it is still logically to wonder about their commitment to the future when they are barren due to circumstance or choice.

You can go the other way and have children and still me a sick f___. Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Kerry, the Clintons, Joe Biden and others come to mind. They engage in all sort of nepotismn on scales small and large to feather the nest. Two tails of the same curve, both equally bad.

I'll agree with Anon #1 "Gordon Brown is right there with her".

There is hope for May like there was hope for Jimmy Carter. Corbyn might be PM someday and May will no longer be the worst PM.

Those memo's were meant to be private. And they got leaked. I'm disappointed (but not surprised) from WNU's previous remarks considering he used to be a UN 'diplomat' of sorts.

This man was a highly respected career diplomat and is entitled to his opinion. He should have used more caution, but then again, he didn't expect his private opinions to air publicly.
