President Trump Blames The Teleprompter For Him Saying That Washington's Army Captured Airports

Daily Mail: 'It went KAPUT!' Trump blames teleprompter for his claim at his D.C. 'Salute to America' that Washington's army captured AIRPORTS during Revolutionary War

* Donald Trump said his teleprompter went out during his Fourth of July address, which is why he said the Revolutionary Army was able to take the 'airports'
* 'The teleprompter went out,' the president said, 'it went kaput'
* The accidental revisionist history lesson came during the middle of Trump's 'Salute to America' speech for the Fourth of July
* Trump was speaking on the success of the continental army but claimed they had a hand in acquiring airports
* 'Our Army manned the air, it rammed the ramparts, it took over airports, it did everything it had to do and at Ft. McHenry under the rocket's red glare had nothing but victory,' he said
* Trump appeared to conflate the continental army's revolutionary campaign with the invention of the airplane by the Wright brothers in the early 1900s
* The first airport didn't exist until 1928, more than 150 years after the initial period Trump spoke about.
* People on Twitter quickly shared clips of the video and dragged Trump for his poor history knowledge

Donald Trump said his teleprompter went out during his Fourth of July address, which is why he said the Revolutionary Army under George Washington was able to conquer 'airports' in the 1700s.

'We had a lot of rain. I stood in the rain. The teleprompter went out,' the president told reporters at the White House on Friday.

'At the end, it just went out. It went kaput,' he said, adding that it happened 'actually right in the middle of that sentence it went out.'

Everybody's got it all wrong! He was really commenting on how forward thinking our country's founders were, that they were able to foresee the need to seize airports 140 years before the airplane was even invented.

Biden is a gaffe machine. Obama said there were 57 states.

I'll take Trump over them any day.

"Stand up Chuck" -Biden

"OMG you are a cripple, Sorry." - Biden

Biden cannot see what is right in front of him.

Talk about return on investment. A nickel flub gets you a dollar of shrieking from the usual crowd.

Mr. Blogmaster Is this exhaustive news coverage for what essentially is a "typo" necessary? No, because this is at most a mile amusement and is not news at all.

Trump offered the Dems Amnesty and a wall, a quid pro quo.

Dems refused.

In March they saids there is no crisis.

In June, 3 months later, they said there is one.

It is going to bite them in the butt big time on November 8th.

I would say Dems are the idiots.
