New York Times: Former Chinese Leader Mao Zedong Is 'One Of History’s Great Revolutionary Figures

FOX News: New York Times apologizes for sharing previous obituary referring to China's Mao as 'one of history's great revolutionary figures'

The New York Times has apologized after referring to former Chinese leader Mao Zedong as “one of history’s great revolutionary figures.”

The Times’ shared its obituary to Mao -- who died on Sept. 9, 1976 -- to mark the anniversary of the People's Republic of China founder’s death.

“Mao Zedong died on this day in 1976. The Times said he ‘began as an obscure peasant’ and ‘died one of history’s great revolutionary figures,’ a tweet sent with the obituary read.

The 1976 obituary stated: “After establishing the Chinese People’s republic, Mao launched a series of sweeping, sometimes convulsive campaigns to transform a semi-feudal, largely illiterate and predominantly agricultural country encompassing almost four million square miles into a modern, industrialized socialist state.”

WNU Editor: The New York Times has since deleted its tweet with apologies. But someone in the New York Times clearly has a view that this genocidal tyrant is someone who is "great".

He was a great revolutionary figure. It's just that none of those things should imply any moral sanction. Unfortunately, for much of the world, they still have positive connotations.

Source: CIA Reportedly Had Asset So Close To Putin That Spy Could Photograph Secret Documents

From the article that Parrot / Philoctetes or someone pretending to be him

"While the information shared didn’t relate to the Russian source in question, CNN noted that CIA officials began to worry the informant close to Putin could be compromised.

The New York Times reported that former intelligence officials disputed that characterization, saying instead that media coverage of the Russian asset was the main reason the CIA staged the extraction operation."

To me this looks like another John Brennan coup attempt.

Johm Brennan belongs in prison. While in prison Brennan could get laparoscopic duodenal switch surgery like Captain Nads and take a load off his mind.

I am happy that Captain Nads is going for impeachment. The Democrats will become more unpopular and lose big in 2020.

For 40 years Republicans could do nothing. Around 1980 they were not allowed in some Congressional committees.

"But all during this time the Washington establishment, including both Republicans and Democrats, did not like Reagan because they didn’t like conservatism.

They don’t like anything that deemphasizes the role of government on a day-to-day basis, and they don’t like anything that deemphasizes or shrinks the size of government. So they pretended to love Reagan and they all wanted to be in the spotlight. But privately, they were plotting how to take control of the party once Reagan’s two terms were over and get it back on track to where it was the Harlem Globetrotters… Well, the Republican Party was the Washington Generals to the Democrat Party’s Harlem Globetrotters.
...

Washington, D.C., functions in peace and tranquility when the Republicans know their place, and that is as a minority that occasionally wins the White House but still does not try to dismantle any aspect of the Washington establishment. Instead, the Republicans and Democrats work together to maintain it, maybe even grow it. So what happened when the Republicans won the House for the first time in 40 years in the 1994 elections? The Washington insiders went bonkers. The media went nuts.
...

I may be exaggerating, ’cause in the modern era I don’t think there are a whole lot of Republicans that want to lose. But I’m telling you, in the old days pre-1980… Do you know how many Republicans were in the House of Representatives before Reagan won in 1980? It was 130 — 130 out of 435! The Democrats didn’t even let ’em into some committee meetings, and Republicans didn’t care as long as they get to go play golf with people. It was their role to be a permanent minority since the days of FDR."

Don’t Waver, Deplorables! Washington Will Never Accept Trump

Democrats Will Pay Price for Failed Coup

We all know what the New York Time hucksters meant.

They meant to pay homage to someone they admire.

After all they hire every SJW they can.

Note, what Mao did was not novel. He was as big of an ASSHOLE as the 1st emperor and the legalists of that era. It all fell apart after he died.

Introducing sharia law into the US would have a sudden impact on America. Women would become second class citizens entitled to 1/2 a share of inheritance compared to a male's full share.

Just think no more women in Congress. Awesome. We should import more Muslims and implement sharia NOW!

"The senior official cited Iranian information campaigns on geopolitical issues like the Iran nuclear deal to influence the U.S. politics as particular areas of concern."

Well the Iranian information campaign is a definite success. It convinced Fredo in spite of all the cheating uncovered.

To be fair Fredo is not hard to dupe. A person of IQ 0 never is.

We North Americans assume "Great" means "Good" when it does not.

Remember when World War 1 was called the "Great War"? It didn't earn that name because it was happy/positive/good. Sigh.
