Robert Farley, National Interest: U.S. Military Nightmare: Could America Fight Both Russia and China at the Same Time?

As if the Russians and Chinese are..lol
Well define the situation; can we fend off an invasion by Russia into the EU along with an aggressive move against Taiwan by China at the same time; if our allies are involved = Yes! We don't need to defeat China's massive ground forces, just make sure they stay home.
As Feldhake says, it all depends on the place, time, and type of war. Short answer is the US could do it easily.
A more pertinent question for Chinese would be: Would physical force, diplomacy, or some mix of the two be the best way to their obvious goal?
As it stands China is in a very difficult situation.
Losing
