President Trump Did Not Inform Congressional Democrats On The Raid That Killed ISIS Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Washington Examiner: Donald Trump withheld details of ISIS raid from Nancy Pelosi, other congressional Democrats

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump did not give House Speaker Nancy Pelosi or other key members of Congress advance notice of the Saturday night raid that ended in the death of terrorist leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Trump said he knew about plans for the top-secret mission for three days but kept most members of Congress in the dark because he feared the information would be leaked to the public and endanger the lives of American forces.

“Washington leaks like I’ve never seen before,” Trump told reporters at the White House on Sunday. “There’s no country in the world that leaks like we do. And Washington is a leaking machine.”

Update #1: House Intelligence chair says he wasn't told about al-Baghdadi operation (ABC News)
Update #2: Chris Wallace grills Pence on Trump hiding Baghdadi raid from Congress (Washington Examiner)

WNU Editor: President Trump's explanation on why the Congressional leadership were not informed of this raid ....

.... "We notified some" congressional leaders, "others are being notified now as I speak. We were going to notify them last night but we decided not to do that because Washington leaks like nothing I've ever seen before. There is no country in the world that leaks like we do. Washington is a leaking machine. ... I don't want to have them greeted with firepower like you wouldn't believe. We were able to get in, it was top secret. ... A very small group of people that knew about this. We had very few people. A leak could have caused the death of all of them."

What's my take on this decision to not inform Congress. The priority for Congress right now is to impeach the President. Everything is secondary. And while I doubt that Congressional leaders would have leaked information on this raid, President Trump clearly does not trust the Congressional leadership that they would have kept this information confidential. He definitely does not trust House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff who does have a long history of leaking info to the New York Times or Washington Post.

Update #3:  House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff is definitely pissed .... House Intelligence chair says he wasn't told about al-Baghdadi operation (ABC News).

Update #4: There is going to be consequences from this decision to not inform the congressional leaders of both parties on this raid, and I predict it is something that is going to be reviewed and analyzed for a long time. But that is the state of Washington today.

FLASHBACK: Never Forget — ISIS Terror Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi Was Held at US Prison Camp Bucca in 2009 Until Obama White House Agreed to Let Him Go

BULLSHiT--and Hitler was an enlisted man in WWI and then things changed

Al-Baghdadi was arrested by US Forces-Iraq on 2 or 4 February 2004 near Fallujah while visiting the home of his old student friend, Nessayif Numan Nessayif, also on the American wanted list at the time[5] and studied together with al-Baghdadi at the Islamic University. He was detained at the Abu Ghraib and Camp Bucca detention centers under his name Ibrahim Awad Ibrahim al-Badry[38] as a "civilian internee." His detainee card gives his profession as "administrative work (secretary)." The US Department of Defense said al-Baghdadi was imprisoned at Compound 6, which was a medium security Sunni compound. On 8 December 2004,[5] he was released as a prisoner deemed "low level"[38] after being recommended for release by the Combined Review and Release Board.

A number of newspapers and news channels have instead stated that al-Baghdadi was interned from 2005 to 2009. These reports originate from an interview with the former commander of Camp Bucca, Colonel Kenneth King,[52] and are not substantiated by Department of Defense records. Al-Baghdadi was imprisoned at Camp Bucca along with other future leaders of ISIL.[56]

LET US PRAISE OUR MILITARY LEADERS TOO

The decision by President Trump to safeguard the foreknowledge of this raid from the Democrat Leak Machine was the correct one. Schiff and his ilk are a danger to the US forces involved in these types of raids. He would gladly forfeit the lives of a few US personnel to cause the failure of an executive-authorized operation.

And it will of course become the next tired, fake 'impeachable offense' du juor.

Let the howling begin. (as soon as Schiff can find a news camera)

Deaser heart
Schiff has the top most security clearance and is on intell committee in congress...now get back under your rock..here, meantime, is what the jihadist's neighbor said about the the raid:

"

In the middle of the night amid the olive trees of northwest Syria, Abu Ahmad heard soldiers "speaking a foreign language" attack the home next door.

The 55-year-old said he had repeatedly tried and failed to befriend his discreet neighbour in the village of Barisha in Idlib province.

But now, after President Donald Trump said Sunday a US special operation killed jihadist supremo Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in the village, Abu Ahmad was left wondering about who his neighbour was harbouring.

"We have shared nothing with this man except greetings," Abu Ahmad said of his mysterious neighbour, who claimed to be a merchant from the province of Aleppo. "
see...did not get that from Fox news

And after watching the treasonous turd, Schiff on Face the Nation, it confirms without a doubt he would have sold out the troops and leaked this raid - likely to his Iranian allies. Who would have just coincidentally been in perfect position to shoot down the aircraft carrying the SOCOM forces on their ingress.

The negative political fallout for Trump had this raid ended in death for US troops would have been too savory for Schiff to pass up. Like WNU said, the top most priority for Dems is Trump's destruction. Anyone who gets in the way - or can be used as a political weapon - is expendable.

Lots of libtards have clearances and leak stuff.

Congress critters that could not get hired at a from and get security clearances, get them as congress critters, just because they are critters.

A famous libturd leaker was Leaky Leahy

Leaky Leahy. He pissed all over the American people.

"5. In 1987, Leahy stepped down early from the Senate Intelligence Committee over his leaking an unclassified draft report on the panel's Iran-Contra investigation to an NBC News reporter."

In other news Democrats scored a great victory. The silver lining is that the deceased no longer have an continuing carbon footprint.

And Democrats still got their drugs and cheap labor.

Trump, of course, gave Russia top billing—“Russia was great”—as well as Turkey, although both have proven fitful allies against the Islamic State and it seems their role here was limited to allowing the United States to fly over territory they controlled without shooting at U.S. troops. However, the Washington Post reported that the United States’s recently abandoned Kurdish allies played a key role, as did Iraq, with both providing intelligence and other assistance. Knowing that America had turned its back on the Kurds under Trump’s direction, it feels painful to hear him praise the Kurdish contribution and even claim that it was easier to work with the Kurds because of the recent fighting they had suffered. I do not know who did what with regard to specific contributions, and I sincerely hope the president is right that Moscow and Ankara are now close counterterrorism partners and will play a major role in fighting the Islamic State. However, without more information, this seems to smack of an attempt to justify handing over parts of Syria to these countries rather than to give credit to the Kurds and other vital partners against the Islamic State.

And of course, the counterterrorism success had to be about him. Trump noted that the Islamic State is “technically brilliant” and uses the internet “better than almost anybody in the world, perhaps other than Donald Trump.” He repeated his false claims that he had opposed the 2003 Iraq war and had provided an early warning of the danger of al- Qaeda and the need to kill Osama Bin Laden. While praising intelligence officers involved in the raid, Trump also alluded to what he described as “poor leadership” and “people who aren’t very intelligent having to do with intel,” perhaps alluding those intelligence officers involved in investigating his possible crimes.

Leahy is still a self-serving senator. He is still leaking.

The leak in question is from 2010. not 1987 like you said. Not like you lied.

PhD Phrenetic PhreD is still at it.

WNU said all the stuff Trump said would have leaked inside of 24 or 48 hours.

Merely saying how many troops were involved tell you how many platforms would be needed.

A diagram of the house and a knowledge of ISIS tactics would tell you how many troops would be needed. That is if you know small unit tactics.

Just reading up on the Osama raid or "The Night of the Ranger" will tell you how many went after Baghdadi.

Some PhD's must not be worth much or maybe phreniticism has slipped a step.

I find WNU #3 particularly amusing. Mr. Schiff was up set because HE, as head of the Intelligence Committee, wasn't informed.

He sulked to the ABC reporter as he yet again kept Republicans out of the loop in the ongoing impeachment committee playhouse and sandbox complex.
