WASHINGTON - House Democrats are weighing extraordinary steps to secure testimony from a whistleblower whose complaint prompted an impeachment inquiry, masking his identity to prevent President Donald Trump's congressional allies from exposing the individual, according to three officials familiar with the deliberations.
The steps under consideration include having the whistleblower testify from a remote location and obscuring the individual's appearance and voice, these officials said.
The efforts reflect the deepening distrust between Democrats running the impeachment inquiry of Trump and their GOP colleagues they see as fully invested in defending a president who has attacked the whistleblower's credibility and demanded absolute loyalty from Republicans.

WNU Editor: This impeachment inquiry is being held behind closed doors, and now this?!?!?!? Masking the identity of the whistleblower by having him placed in a remote location while also changing his appearance and voice when he delivers his testimony. But it gets worse. Much worse. House Democrats also want to bar GOP lawmakers from questioning the whistleblower and only allow staffers to question him outside of the Capitol. This is what I call a kangaroo court.

Is it any wonder now why they are so against the second amendment? It is for their own lawless hides, not us.
They learned from Blasey Ford... everyone knows she was crazy. Look at the videos of her showing her close up. Even her hair looked crazy/out of place and that was professionally done in the morning. Her friends didn't even back her story. No evidence came up. And she lost and the Democrats lost.
You cannot ask of people to lie for your cause if there are consequences.
But. .if you can stay anonymous then MANY more will suddenly say xyz because there are no consequences if people think you lie

It is not yet in "court". This is only the investigation process and the need to keep the identification of a key witness safe during this process speaks volumes for the injustice system in the USA. The courtroom trial will be in the Senate of course.
Bob, I have a different viewpoint; this guy knows the Clintons. As a result of this, consider his/her being asked about a relationship with them during any testimony.
