ABC News Online: Iraqi Prime Minister's main backers agree to oust him amid violent protests

Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdel-Mahdi's two main backers have agreed to work to remove him from office as protests against his Government gain momentum in Baghdad.

Populist Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, who leads Parliament's largest bloc, asked Mr Abdel-Mahdi to call an early election.

When Mr Abdel-Mahdi refused, Mr Sadr called on his main political rival Hadi al-Amiri to help oust him.

Mr Amiri — who leads a parliamentary alliance of Iran-backed Shiite militia that holds the second largest amount of seats in Parliament behind Mr Sadr's alliance — issued a statement late on Tuesday (local time) agreeing to help oust the Prime Minister.

So video of the raid has been released. If people can count and know small unit tactics, they can work backwards and figure out (or make a reasonable guess) how many transports, gunships etc.

One Anon flatulantly stated that the that the compound was rocketed into oblivion 1st and then the troops came into mop up. This site has a lot of hard left and alt-left trolls.

@ If you rocket the compound, hoe do you find the tunnel entrance beneath the rubble?

@ Also, if you rocket 1st how do you find the intel on paper or electronic media without an archaeological team to reconstruct it?

@ That and the video shows the troops attacking the compound with the buildings up.

'What does the New York Times know anyway!' Defiant New Yorkers and hungry tourists flock to Brooklyn's Peter Luger steakhouse the day after stinging zero-star review and say it DOES have the best steak in town (even if the waiters are a bit rude)

The NYT is always HONEST!

anon: you are a true CHUD
ah, a paper is no good because people flock to steak house etc etc
and you dine at Subway

Nah Fred,

I am just pointing out that NYT has their thumb on the scales on movie review, dining reviews and book reviews all to push their agenda instead of reporting.

I can't get the missus into a steak house. It is a foreign ethnic thing which I respect. I am kind of worldly, well traveled and the opposite a hard-left xenophobe in that way.
