The Breaking News Story Followed By The Retracton

WNU Editor: After this story was reported worldwide .... 100,000 kids are being held in U.S. detention: UN estimates (AP), we now learn that these numbers were from 2015 (before Donald Trump was elected President) .... U.N. expert corrects claim on children in U.S. migration detention (NBC). So where was the outrage in 2015?

Hey, WNU, come on.. if Obama does it it's hip, cool, trendy, the right thing to do. We all know that. :) If a white man doesn't do it, it's racism, evil, and all his supporters are deplorables.
That is the left. That is Fred Lapides.

Rush Limbaugh pointed out that as soon as George Bush was elected there would be stories on homelessness and there were.

When Obama was elected the stories went away.

There are always stories about homelessness, but the number of them changes whether there is a Bus, Clinton Obama a or Trump in the White House.

It is the same way every other story like illegal aliens is covered.

He reiterated, however, that the U.S. is holding far more children than are other countries for which he has reliable figures.

New U.S. government data released this month found 69,550 migrant children have been held in U.S. government custody over the past year.

The U.S. government didn’t respond to the questionnaire of Nowak’s team that asked governments to indicate both annual and date-specific numbers of migrant children in detention.

Now, for eight years the Obama administration, we didn’t hear a word about homelessness, did we? I mean, if we did, it’s not memorable, and it certainly would not have been a negative. It would have been how wonderful the Obama agenda is at reducing it. So here we are 10 months into Trump’s first year.

And bammo, they do it, and they search the archives and they find story after story after story from the eighties when Reagan was president. And story after story after story when George H. W. Bush was president and similar stories when George W. Bush was president, and they redo ’em and they recycle ’em and they plug in current people, current events to a basic boilerplate story that constantly exists. Nothing new about it. And, as usual, it’s packed with — I think it’s outright lies, but certainly misinformation.

1. do not read papers since you believe they all lie
2. blame Obama for all things but note that the US still has more children in custody than any other nation. and the figure, corrected for current year is hardly anything to boast about

The nearly 70,000 migrant children who were held in government custody this year — up 42 percent in fiscal year 2019 from 2018 — spent more time in shelters and away from their families than in prior years. The Trump administration’s series of strict immigration policies has increased the time children spend in detention, despite the government’s own acknowledgment that it does them harm.

maybe you did not hear about homelessness under Obama but many of us did, and I was very caught up with homeless and sucicial veterans...you were busy fixing your trailer door

"maybe you did not hear about homelessness under Obama but many of us did"

That was not the point. Learn how to read with comprehension. Or better yet learn how to be honest.

The point is the number of the stories, their prominence, and the narrative.

there is no need for someone who gets truth from Rush to tell me how to read!

On a single night in January 2016, more than half a million people across the U.S. were homeless. That number is large (549,928 people) but it has declined substantially since 2010, when the Obama administration introduced Opening Doors, the nation’s first strategic federal plan to solve homelessness. The plan appears to be working.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development just released its 2016 Annual Homeless Assessment Report to Congress, which breaks down the results of a nationwide point-in-time estimate conducted in January. Agencies in some 3,000 cities counted individuals and families living in shelters, temporary housing, or outside shelters or housing.

Since 2010, the nation has seen double-digit drops in homeless families (23 percent), individuals experiencing chronic homelessness (27 percent), and veteran homelessness (47 percent).

More disinformation form an anon

Ask Why 5 times, Anon. Use your God given brain for something.

1) They use more genetic testing now.

DNA tests reveal 30% of suspected fraudulent migrant families were unrelated

2) There are more children because Obama pushed DACA encouraging more people to send children.

Hey lying POS.

Hoe many people pay coyotes to sneak into Somalia, Peru, China, Thailand, etc?

PEW recently corrected the figures of illegals in our nation. the conventional figure was about 12 million. PEW now claims the number is closer to 22 million. Now if we have 22 million, should we blame Bush? Clinton, Trump, Obama?

Anonymous said...

We should blame Democrats.

They encourage it with things like DACA.

Obama all but said "Come on Down!"

Alright you tell them ( with that perfect grammar), keep upholding your high standards!

In 2008 about 1 million people deported themselves. So 22 million would not be hard.

My preferred solution is to close the barnyard door (complete the wall) and then have amnesty.

Unreasonable Democrats do not want a compromise.

In other news the son & daughter of 2 bank robbers sued to keep the proceeds of the robbery.

They argued that their parents had deposited the money in the bank already and then transferred it to their college savings account.

They argued that if the bank (depositors) got its money bank, their dream would die.

Obama says the border fence is 'now basically complete'

Mostly false.

www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/may/16/barack-obama/obama-says-border-fence-now-basically-complete/

Man, Obama has low standards, if he called that complete.

He knew it wasn't he just freaking lied and liberals licked up that pablum like it was the best meal they ever tasted.

"Do you have a plan to unload 22 million people? perhaps in your trailer"

Says the guy who all but lives in a row house (a crappy one at that).

White collar professional and that is all you can afford?
