A top Navy SEAL officer is defying President Donald Trump’s defense of Chief Petty Officer Eddie Gallagher by sending his controversial case to a military review board which could result in his ultimate expulsion from the SEALs.
On November 15 Trump reversed the demotion of Gallagher, a Navy SEAL who acquitted of murder this summer, and restored his title of Chief Petty Officer. The president also pardoned two other officers jailed for war crimes as well.
Trump’s grant of executive clemency has been harshly criticized over violations of international humanitarian law.

WNU Editor: There are also allegations that Top Navy SEAL Rear Admiral Collin Green uttered contemptuous statements about President Trump .... Did the Navy’s top SEAL show contempt for Trump? (Military Times). If true, the White House has a serious problem with some senior admirals and the civilian head of the Navy who signed off on this. As I have mentioned many times before. If you are a senior official working for the government and you do not agree with the policies and actions of a duly elected President, you resign. And if you openly defy the wishes of a President and refuse to resign, expect to be fired. As for this case, do not be surprised if some people are replaced in the next few weeks/months.

I wouldn't say its contradictory. The offender is not on murder charges, it not looking at prison time, infact i doubt hes even looking at a dishonorable discharge. But i think the military has to review his suitability to continue to serve, not everyone can be an Admiral, or in this case a Chief Petty Officer and in light of this persons behavior the question needs to be asked, are their better people for the position, ones with better leadership and judgement.

I would compare the combat time of the CPO to that of the admiral. A rough estimate should be reflected in their LES.
Although I do know for a fact that an admiral checked a calendar and the the rules and visited the Middle East just often enough to receive hazard pay continuously for the year.
If multiple tours /combat were not that dangerous and/or strenuous (psychologically) why does the government offer combat pay?
If it were not that strenuous, why is the attrition rate higher for some service that others?
Why is the divorce rate higher?
Why are the re-enlistment bonuses higher for some service members than others?
If combat fatigue were not real, why did the brass calculate days on the line and rotate units. It was for psychological reasons as well as those of attrition and others.
Politicians, generals and the electorate are just damn lucky that psychology is still voodoo and not a complete science. Otherwise, they would be measuring the gradient in stark, qualitative terms and everyone would know how guilty they are of shirking, cowardice, and malice.
Now, for eight years the Obama administration, we didn’t hear a word about homelessness, did we? I mean, if we did, it’s not memorable, and it certainly would not have been a negative. It would have been how wonderful the Obama agenda is at reducing it. So here we are 10 months into Trump’s first year.

Bush was president, and they redo ’em and they recycle ’em and they plug in current people, current events to a basic boilerplate story that constantly exists. Nothing new about it. And, as usual, it’s packed with — I think it’s outright lies, but certainly misinformation.
In the 8 years of Obama he packed the Military leadership with officers who serve with the confused and self contradictory more and values of liberalism. These officers are poisoning the US military and President Trump needs to remove them from service and install patriotic Americans in their place.
