Democratic Presidential Candidate Tulsi Gabbard Votes 'PRESENT' On Impeachment Articles Against Donald Trump

Daily Mail: 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard votes 'PRESENT' on impeachment articles against Donald Trump, then issues statement warning of 'tribal animosities'

* Gabbard voted present on both articles, abuse of power and obstruction of Congress
* She did not qualify for Wednesday's debate in Los Angeles, having failed to meet a polling threshold
* She had called for censuring Trump
* House leaders pushed through a closed rule that didn't allow it
* Gabbard has clashed with Hillary Clinton and angered some party faithful
* There also were efforts to push censure alternative during the Bill Clinton impeachment

Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii was the only member of her party to vote 'present' on two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump during Wednesday's historic vote.

Gabbard, a Democratic presidential candidate, did not speak on the floor while leaders of both parties doled out slots in 30-second and one-minute increments. When the voting finally occurred Wednesday night, she voted 'present' on both an abuse of power article and one accusing Trump of obstructing Congress by thwarting the impeachment inquiry.

She was seen standing agains the back wall of the chamber on the side where Republicans sit during the second vote.

Update: Tulsi Gabbard is the only 2020 Democratic contender to criticize House’s impeachment of Trump (CNBC)

She'll collect scorn from both sides. She's a good, even-keel talker. It'll be interesting to hear her explanation/excuse.

She's an illustration of the predicament any semi-reasonable Dems are put in by this clown show.

I'm happy to listen to any lady who went to war, is against war and stands up to her own party. She is the opposite of Hillary. She is someone who might just have what it takes, and more.

She took the malicious retaliatory route against her party and the people of America. Good sign that she is/was in no way suiteable to be President.

CHUDS. WNU makes a great point, that Republicans have no power.

CHUDS.

Seeing as healthcare in Canada is free, you're in cognitive decline, and have nothing to do except troll, you should see your GP. Your GP can get you are referral to a psychologist.

In other words "GET HELP NOW!"

Tulsi says “ I can’t make up my mind”. Tulsi this isn’t like shopping for a dress. It was a big moment and you couldn’t figure it out.

How can someone interpret a "present" vote as malicious (it's literally abstaining from a witch-hunt that will cost a lot of the "yes" voters their seats in congress), retaliatory against her party (she didn't vote no to accommodate their delusions), and against the people of America (51% opposed it compared to 46% who supported)? You've lost it Bob.

Tulsi says “ I can’t make up my mind"

After the Harridan Hillary called her a Russian asset, she is supposed to march in lockstep with a bunch of whacked out Democrats?

The Democrat Party didn't give Hillary her gold watch and pack her off to retirement after the Russian Asset comment. At that point Tulsi does not owe the Democrat Party anything.

Anon healthcare is not free in Canada, although, while there are no costs to be paid at the point of service, we pay for it, over a lifetime, through various taxes.

The difference between Canada and the USA is that while you pay taxes you still have to pay for healthcare, unless you have no money, no assets, no income. The single payer, non universal Medicare program in the US is available to all, but if you have income and assets you have to pay for the treatment you get. Houses are lost in the US to cover healthcare costs, but houses are not similarly lost in Canada.

While you pay taxes through the nose you don't get healthcare. Somewhat like the husband/father addicted to drugs, booze, women who spends all the family income, plus debt to satisfy his addiction, your successive governments, addicted to war, satisfy that addiction with your taxes and mega debt.

Your governments over the decades/centuries 'of and by the people' care nothing for the majority of the people of which you are one.

Funny you talk about how good Canada is and your GF does not have a house. Taking her out on the town for you is gong to Mickey D's. You are a well off big spender.

Bob Huntley said...

I don't talk about how good Canada because, well I live here and it is just normal life for us, but it is not surprising that what you hear about Canada does in fact tell you that Canada is good. That must be the case because the jealousy drips from your every statement.

I have no idea why you think my girlfriend doesn't have a house. I have three girlfriend's and they all have houses. One of them has a custom house on the water that you couldn't even dream about.

As for Casinos. The last time I went to the Seneca Casino in Buffalo, I hadn't been there for 6 months, when I put my card in and the screen said,

"Welcome Bob. We haven't seen you for a while. Here is $100 to get you started."

and they put that hundred in the credits column on the screen. It was a good night.

As for Mickey's D's. I go there for the cheap and very good coffee and the conversation with a group of seniors that meet there Friday mornings. Tim Horton's had the best coffee for years, McD's not so good. Then last year the Tim's buyer was late arriving at the auction and McD's bought up the really good stuff. It is interesting how much that impacted Tim's negatively because now their coffee tastes crappy like McD's used to.

Anything else you would like to discuss? Please don't hesitate.

King 5 News paints a different picture of Canada when they report on the medical refugees from Canada.

Canada's single-payer healthcare system forced over 1 million patients to wait for necessary medical treatments last year. That's an all-time record.

"TORONTO — WHEN SHARON Shamblaw was diagnosed last summer with a form of blood cancer that could only be treated with a particular stem cell transplant, the search for a donor began. A Toronto hospital, 100 miles east of her home in St. Mary's, Ontario, and one of three facilities in the province that could provide the life-saving treatment, had an eight-month waiting list for transplants.

Four months after her diagnosis, Shamblaw headed to Buffalo, New York, for treatment. But it was too late. She died at the age of 46, leaving behind a husband and three children, as detailed by the Toronto Star."

Anon

So what.

You think I couldn't find appalling examples of Americans who have suffered at the hands of the poor medical care you have?

The Canadian system being socialist is suppose to be better than that. As time goes on it will get worse and worse.

Sad thing is that is starting with a small country of 37 million and a fairly homogeneous population. but you won't admit it, because you are as dumb as the come.

Bob Huntley said...

The thing I understand about you is that you are unable to comprehend the concept of "Socialism" vs "social benefits" the latter being benefits people have paid for throughout their lives. That and an inability to respond comprehensively to a comment as shown by your continual degradation into inane and unreasonable insults, likely out of frustration. Are you frustrated Anon?

You also cannot understand that a country that cares for its people, all of its people, provides benefits even to some who for whatever reason were unable or unwilling to contribute during their lives.

One of your many malfunctions Is that you are statistically illiterate and functionally illiterate with regard to psychology.

Sad thing is you will never advance in neither. It is no wonder that TQM failed at the company you worked at.
