Zero Hedge: By 2100, Five Of The Ten Biggest Countries In The World Will Be In Africa

In the 21st century so far, populous countries and strong population growth were most often associated with Asia – but, as Statista's Katharina Buchholz notes, this view of the world will have to change in the future, data by the United Nations and Pew Research Center shows.

While in 2020, five out of the ten most populous countries in the world were located in Asia, the picture will look different in 2100, when five African countries – Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Egypt and the Democratic Republic of the Congo – will be among the world’s ten largest.

WNU Editor: Over 700 million living in a place like Nigeria. I have trouble visualizing that many people living in such a small country.

This prediction will only come true if western aid to Africa continues. With the disillusionment and dissatisfaction brought on by the last decade's immigration I'm not sure how much longer it will last. China's growing presence in africa cannot be understated either. Only a fool thinks he knows what the world will look like in 80 years.
