The Hill: Poll: 47 percent approve of Trump strike on Soleimani
Nearly half of American voters approve of President Trump's decision to order the airstrike that killed Iranian Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the leader of Iran's elite Quds Force, according to a new Morning Consult poll.
The survey, which was released on Wednesday but conducted before Iran responded to the strike by firing rockets at Iraqi bases housing U.S. troops, found that 47 percent of American voters supported Trump's move to authorize a drone strike on Soleimani outside the Baghdad airport last week. Forty percent of voters said they opposed the decision, while 14 percent said they did not have an opinion.
The opinions divided strongly along with partisan lines, with 70 percent of Democrats opposing the airstrike and 85 percent of Republicans supporting it. Sixty-one percent of Republican respondents said they strongly approved Trump's decision.

WNU Editor: I expected a higher number.
Update: I have trouble believing this .... 75% Of US Registered Voters Can't Identify Iran On A Map (Zero Hedge). Please tell me this is wrong.

There are likely a lot of places in the world that major numbers of people in any given country cannot identify on a map and some of those places might even be in their own country.
People whose wont is to focus on wars and world travelers tend to have more experience with places in the world versus others who have different lives to live and may care nothing for the outside world when the main issues in their lives involve a lack of money for food and shelter and of course much needed healthcare.
As for surveys while I believe global warming, or, at minimum global weather change is happening, the old 97% of scientists bit portrayed by Gore was BS.
You need to break a large nation into parts and look at literacy be region, city, suburb, income level, party affiliation, immigration status, reading literacy level, etc.
In deep cyanotic blue cities they have invented "social promotion", where a person who cannot read or otherwise perform at grade level are promoted to the next grade anyway.
There are many articles and studies, where people do have money for shelter. They prefer to spend their check on drugs. There articles are not hard to find. It is what happens when liberals take away jobs by design.
people who approve committed deadly sins themselves and don't know the will of God ......
General Salmonella lived by the sword and died by the sword. It is no sin to wish a killer to be no more.
tit for tat?
Tit for Tat moral judgment assumes both sides are morally equivalent.
The US left Iraq voluntarily 2 times in the last quarter of a century.
- In 1991 Saddam was routed. His military was decimated on the Highway of Death. However, having accomplished the liberation of Kuwait, the American military forces voluntarily left.
- In 2011 The American military forces voluntarily left. We had held fair and free elections. We also held transparent auction of Iraqi oil. The money from those auctions are going to the Iraqi treasury.
Iran never left Iraq. They armed Sunni to attack Shia and Americans. They armed Shia to attack everyone. The Iranians armed Sunni, because although Al Qaeda was their enemy, they reasoned the could deal with chaos better than the Americans and they said so.
But 12 years later President Obama has ordered a U.S. military presence back into Iraq to assist with the fight against ISIS, four years after he oversaw the complete withdrawal of all U.S. troops in December 2011.
If Iran had not bankrolled AL Qaeda and Shia guerillas, Al Qaeda might have been discredited enough to not be able to make a comeback.
Al Qaeda was beaten in 2007. If they had been beaten in 2003 or 2004, maybe no one would have continued to join Al Qaeda//ISIS?
