U.S. Republican Senator Mitt Romney Will Vote To Impeach President Trump

Salt Lake Tribune: Mitt Romney to break with GOP and vote to remove Trump from office

Sen. Mitt Romney will vote Wednesday to convict President Donald Trump of abuse of power, arguing the president violated the trust of the American people and the authority of his office for his own personal and political benefit.

The Utah senator is expected to be the only Republican to vote guilty on the first article of impeachment, and Romney says he knows the “enormous” repercussions he’ll face from the president, members of his own party and Trump supporters.

Romney insists he had no choice.

WNU Editor:  He will be the only Republican voting with the Democrats to impeach President Trump. He says he expects to receive the wrath of President Trump for his decision. That is probably true. But if I was advising him I would be telling him that he should more worried on the wrath that he will be receiving from his constituents who supported him last year when he won his Senate race. Here is an easy prediction. His re-election is five years from now, and it is going to be a very lonely five years.

Romney is a self-serving moralist just like John McCain was. Jeff Flake is in the same category - except he was run out of office.

I would not be surprised if he switches parties and becomes a Democrat - backstabber that he is. He'd fit right in.

I voted for the Romney Palin ticket.

I thought the attacks on Romney were terribly unfair.

He wanted to make sure he had women in jobs. So he kept a 3 ring binder of qualified women. He was mocked for the 3 ring binder. This is usual for Demorats. They crime sexism and then they pay their female staff less than men.

There was the "He was mean in high school"

There was he put is dog in a dog carrier.

There was he killed a man's wife, who had cancer.

His wife rode a horse. Notice how Bill gates and Springsteen;s kids riding horses is lauded. Fucking hypocrites.

Go through all that. Then impartial moderator, fat/candy ass Candy Crowley, sided with Obama when he said the 80s want their foreign policy back. He was ahead after the 1st debate. Then after he became a door mat in the 2nd debate he was a floor mat. At that point Romney lost me, I voted for the ticket because of Palin. Enthusiasm for the Romney ticket was gone except for Palin.

If Romney wants to be a McCain jack ass, so be it.

There is an attempt to recall him. I hope it succeeds. Mitt might be smart as a businessman, but he is not a street fight. FUCK HIM!

THE SOONER HE IS SIPPING PiƱa Coladas IN THE SOUTH PACIFIC THE BETTER.

Watch The Other Debate That Happened On Stage Tonight: Mitt Romney Vs. Candy Crowley

"Mitt Romney faced a much tougher opponent in the second presidential debate, and we are not talking about President Barack Obama.

CNN moderator Candy Crowley was very much in control of the debate on Tuesday night unlike her counterpart in the first debate PBS moderator Jim Lehrer.

...she even fact-checked his statements on the spot."

With Rep. Justin Amash’s (I-Mich.) vote in the House and Sen. Mitt Romney’s (R-Utah) vote to convict in the Senate, the historic impeachment of President Donald Trump ended with a bipartisan tenor. But there’s an even broader bipartisan “vote” underlying the final Senate vote. It should not be missed or underestimated. A bipartisan majority of senators — including at least six Republicans – concluded that the House Managers proved their central case and that what the president did was wrong. As a result, Trump’s claim of “Exoneration!” should ring hollow.

Remember this: A bipartisan majority found that the factual allegations for Trump’s impeachment were proven. That includes: Senators Lamar Alexander, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Rob Portman, Mitt Romney, and Ben Sasse.

Summary

In his 2020 address to Congress, President Donald Trump stretched and distorted the facts:

Trump claimed the economy is “the best it has ever been.” But GDP growth fell to 2.3% last year and economists predict further slowing this year.
He said he brought about low unemployment by reversing “years of economic decay” and “failed economic policies,” when in fact over 1 million more jobs were added in the 35 months before he took office than in the first 35 months since.
Trump boasted that the “unemployment rate for women reached the lowest level in almost 70 years.” That’s true, but it had been trending down for several years before he took office.
The president wrongly said, “After decades of flat and falling incomes, wages are rising fast.” They’ve gone up under Trump, but also have risen under the last several presidents.

The house vote on Impeachment was not bipartisan. Not one Republican voted for impeachment. Amash is not a Republican. He hasn't been since July 4, 2019, before impeachment was started.

Senators Lamar Alexander, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Rob Portman, and Ben Sasse, did not vote for impeachment on either count. Get your facts straight squirrel.

Mitt Romney voted for impeachment one one count and not on the other. He tried to thread the needle based on envy (He's not president) and he wants to be a press favorite.

He want to be the 2nd coming of McCain. If he voted liberal 70% of the time and then ran for president as Republican or Democrat the Press would turn on him and shit on him all over again.

Maybe histrionic squirrel or the person aping him should quit monkeying around and put their brain in gear for once.

Obama had a lousy economic recovery . Instead of a sharp V it was a long drawn out one.

The fed also put training wheels on his administration. The gave away free money, kept giving away free money and soon as the Democrats lost the White House they hiked rates.

Obama dismal showing is not because he is 1/2 black, but because he is a fucking communist.

His white 1/2 is communist and his black 1/2 is communist (Obama Sr or his real father Frank Marshall Davis). Obama came by his communism honestly. Poor kid never had a chance.

Funny but Michelle Obama did the whole DNA ancestry thing but not Barack. There is a big difference between west African and East African DNA.
