Reuters: Chief justice condemns Democratic senator Schumer's 'dangerous' comments
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts on Wednesday issued an unusual statement criticizing what he called “dangerous” comments made by top U.S. Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer about two conservative Supreme Court justices appointed by President Donald Trump.
Schumer had earlier in the day assailed justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, saying they “won’t know what hit” them if they rule in favor of abortion restrictions.
“Justices know that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous,” Roberts said in a statement.

WNU Editor: "You will pay the price". You will not know what hit you". This is the first time in my life that I have heard a US Senator threatening, actually threatening, US Supreme Court Justices before they issue a ruling. I shudder to think that this is what is now happening in the U.S..

He and his apparatchiks are trying to clean this up now. But Sen Schumer threatened these Justices by name. Explicitly. Basically inciting mob violence against them. If any other lawyer threatened a judge he would be disbarred and possibly arrested.

Several years ago a caller asked Rush Limbaugh how a person like Schumer could get elected. Rush Limbaugh replied do not discount the effects of good teeth and good hair. IMO and that of others the electorate is that shallow. Since President Ford, when has a president not have a full head of hair? Or for that matter JFK.

Since the television age people have been using a full head of hair and other attributes as a shorthand for virility. Virility itself might be used as an indicator of intelligence or acumen. Party loyalty due to belief in a set of ideals or simply group membership is strong also. It isn't all about good hair or Fabio would be president.
The point is that don't discount the fact that Schumer had a good smile and good hair when he first sought office.
Schumer is not that bright. Having a law degree does not mean that you are a standard deviation more intelligent than the population.
Now to Schumer and his threats.
Schumer or his apologists will say that he is doing what Trump did. They will talk about Supreme Court Justice Sort-of-Major (She is big and they do say that the mind follows the body.). Trump asked or suggested that Sort-of-Major recuse herself. The Democrats have asked justices, senators and the AG to recuse themselves increasingly for the least 4 years. Then the apologists will reason that it is different, when Trump asks someone to recuse themselves because
1) He is the President &
2) He is a bully.
The people who support Trump don't care. They are sick of "The Turtle", McConnel, Miss Lindsey and others. They are sick of Bloomberg who says he would have many of the same policies as Trump, but, but , but.

Trump tweeted that Sort-of-Major should recuse herself and gave the reasons. He tweeted and that denied the MSM a wholly owned arm of the DNC to set the operational tempo and the ability to spin it as much as they like.
News is like military operations. Tempo, order of operations etc are important.
This is a big reason the MSM, DNC and other hate Trump. They cannot set the agenda like they normally would if he tweets ruining their temp and their messaging.
Trump tweeted about recusal, Schumer took that as greenlighting his going over the edge.

If nobody else, Roberts should know that because of the failure of the Supreme Court to take a proactive approach to the violations of the Constitution that have taken place over his tenure, he and his people have contributed to the lessening of the stature of Congress. Schumer is nothing but a personification of that lessening and he is not the only one.
