Forbes: Launch Of China’s 2nd Assault Carrier Appears Imminent
Barely six months after the launch of China’s first amphibious assault carrier, there are signs that the second ship is about to hit the water. The Type-075 ship is a large helicopter carrier for amphibious landings, similar to the U.S. Navy’s America Class. A video shared on Chinese social media on Thursday shows the new ship nearing completion in the dry dock. Based the launch preparations for the first ship, she appears almost ready for launch, within a week or two. Previously I was able to predict the launch of the first carrier to within 24 hours.
