The global coronavirus death toll has now reached the grim milestone of 200,000, with 2.8million confirmed infections.
John Hopkins University released the figures as some countries began taking their first steps towards removing their lockdown restrictions.
The US have started loosening their lockdown measures in Georgia, Oklahoma and Alaska to help ease the economic damage inflicted on businesses despite the US death toll passing 50,000.
State governors allowed salons, spas and barbershops to reopen, while Alaska allowed restaurants to resume dine-in service and retail shops and other businesses to open their doors.

What was the purpose of sending sick people to a nursing home full of at risk people? To kill everyone in the nursing home to run up the numbers, so that they can use the crisis to grab power.
Cuomo is a murderer. Worse than the Son of Sam. Worse than the Green River Killer. worse than John Wayne Gacy, ...
Theorem 1: Never let a crisis go to waste.
Corollary 1: If a crisis is not severe enough. Make it worse.
Corollary 2: If there is no crisis make one.
"Cuomo the butcher." He has 87% approval rating or so we're told. NY residents must be a special kind of masochistic. This incompetent boob or special kind of evil man has utterly failed them. Perhaps they should seek out people like the governors of SD and GA to lead them. Are they that smart? Probably not. The utter stupidity of "blue" states and cities has never ceased to amaze me!!
If high school kids take the Tide Pod challenge, how smart can they be? What is next? The gargle with battery acid challenge? By 10th grade they should have taken chemistry, Barring that they should have had biology, since 5th grade with a high school biology course at 9th grade. If they are that smart then, do they remember what they forgot, when they grow older?
Cuomo has a high rating because he has a sympathetic press. That is a press that makes Pravda look truthful.
That and he uses these press conferences to shape the narrative. Every last governor ran to the microphones, because they knew interest groups and media were whipping up a panic. The panic would steamroller them of they did nothing. So they had to do something and by getting ahead of it, it makes them look large and in charge.
If a person is sick with a virus but is not going to die and has turned the corner, they are still shedding viruses that can infect other people for a few to several days.

Reading the article does not give you a warm fuzzy that the are positive about what they say. Hence, the use of the weasel word "likely".
