Japan's Doctors Are Warning That The Health System Is Facing Collapse

BBC: Coronavirus: Japan doctors warn of health system 'break down' as cases surge

Doctors in Japan have warned that the country's medical system could collapse amid a wave of new coronavirus cases.

Emergency rooms have been unable to treat some patients with serious health conditions due to the extra burden caused by the virus, officials say.

One ambulance carrying a patient with coronavirus symptoms was turned away by 80 hospitals before he could be seen.

Japan, which initially appeared to have the virus under control, passed 10,000 confirmed cases on Saturday.

More than 200 people have now died with Covid-19 and the capital Tokyo remains the worst-affected area.

It seems that Japan has been less than honest in reporting their real numbers, maybe suppression for the now postponed summer olympics.

Someone is trying to shake down the Japanese taxpayer for more money. I'm not sure if Japan has something similar to Hippocratic Oath. Clearly the "cure" has been worse than the disease. In fact, the "cure" has been a bit like ",trying to cure the disease by killing the patient." They've got a problem!! The poll patient refuses to die!!

Now Japanese medical professionals are trying to shake down the populace for more money. The Japanese having experiences such dictatorial abuse first hand circa WW2 know where this all ends and would be expected to resist this with all they have. For this naked shake down and attempted power grab, I'd hope some Japanese doctors who are behind this scam will, at a minimum, lose their medical licenses.

As for America, we are a bit slower on the uptake but we're starting to catch on!! While it may not happen soon, I fully anticipate Fauci, Birx, and their respective tag teams will be brought to justice for what they've done. I'd suggest we as Americans lead the way on this.

Japan has an older population like Italy.

Their nobles and their liberals like to provide everything a person needs for a hefty cut. So they are welfare benefits poor and do not have kids.

There is no we. Everybody knows that you’re a foreign troll. This is the stupidest crap I’ve read in a long time. The editor clearly states what’s causing the problem. No social distancing .

"Everybody knows you're a foreign troll." Actually I've multiple times how you can find me. You haven't made the effort.

I'm neither foreign nor am I a troll. You're arguments are weak. Therefore you must resort to slander and character assassinations.

"No social distancing." For the most part, we in America have followed these guidelines, however, in areas where its legally enforced vs areas where its strongly encouraged there isn't a significant difference in cases or deaths when adjusted for population size. As such, I conclude that social distancing is having marginal utility at best and at enormous costs to the physical and mental health of people as humans simply aren't designed to socially distance.

Bottom line: some Japanese medical professionals are trying to shake down the government and thr populace. I'd suggest they not fall for it!!

Older people are more vulnerable to this. I'm very close to several such people. As such, we try to be very careful. Voluntary self quarantines for such people are going to be a better approach than the current approach. The rest of us will likely acquire herd immunity to this within a few months.
