Update: Terrifying crash landing & evacuation shown in dramatic video as Russian probe finds pilot error in 2019 Moscow Superjet tragedy (RT)

WNU Editor: I know this post is not related to wars/conflicts/the military/national and international politics/economics/etc., but that is one incredible video. I notice that some of the passengers are carrying their luggage. Their actions probably delayed people from escaping that inferno. Speaking of incredible videos, the video below is the crash of a Russian Supersonic Strike Bomber Tu-22M3 in the Murmansk region on January 22, 2019.

Tangentially this is militarily realted.

Many pilots get their training in the military. Is this true in Russia? Was it true for this pilot?

Civilian airlines explicitly or implicitly are used for military airlift. In the US this is formal by law and contract. It is called CRAF. What about Moscow?

In days gone by kings would seize or use commercial shipping for transport. If socialist will seize oil companies, cement companies (Who knew?), medical sector and anything that strikes their fancy. So a good socialist on any given Sunday would think up an excuse to seize the civilian air fleet for something.
