Eight more sailors aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt have tested positive again for the coronavirus, raising to 13 the number who appear to have become infected a second time while serving aboard the sidelined aircraft carrier.
All the sailors had previously tested positive for the virus and had gone through at least two weeks of isolation. Before they were allowed to go back to the ship, all had to test negative twice in a row, with the tests separated by at least a day or two.
On Saturday, a Navy official confirmed eight additional sailors had tested positive again.
A day earlier the Navy had said in a statement that five had tested positive a second time. The Navy official was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.

Maybe if they had all the time & money in the world they could have tested these sailors 6 times a day. They migh have found out that the virus never left them.
Or this might be a slightly different strain.
Or that 1st test a few weeks back might have been a false positive. There have been a few stories on false positives. One might expect it when starting up a production line to have more defective product than after you get the kinks worked out.
The 2nd positive tests for these people in South Korea were thought to be false positives.
So why not here?
When these crew members get time off from work do they actually sleep or get to sleep? It is not like they are trying not to get to sleep, but have you seen their quarters? Might they be stressed?
Psychologists or industrial hygienists might want to measure their stress levels. The control group could be sailors of same paygrade, years of service, age and rate living in 2 or 4 man room ashore. Once you know the value of that variable you can compare it to another variable, corona infection. After all they have the money.
I mean why not? And also why complain about the DoD budget?

Just print the money and measure cortisol levels of the sailors 5 times a day and test them for corona 5 times a day every day.
