Gallup: U.S. National Pride Falls to Record Low
* 42% "extremely," and 21% "very," proud to be an American
* Republicans' pride is down sharply in the past year
* First time extreme pride among whites below 50%; nonwhites' is now 24%
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- American pride has continued its downward trajectory reaching the lowest point in the two decades of Gallup measurement. The new low comes at a time when the U.S. faces public health and economic crises brought on by the coronavirus pandemic and civil unrest following the death of George Floyd in police custody.
Although a majority of adults in the U.S. still say they are "extremely proud" (42%) or "very proud" (21%) to be American, both readings are the lowest they have been since Gallup's initial measurement in 2001.
At the same time, 15% of Americans say they are "moderately proud," 12% "only a little proud" and 9% "not at all proud."
These latest data are from a May 28-June 4 poll, which also found 20% of Americans are satisfied with the way things are going in the U.S., and presidential approval fell back to 39%. The poll's field period encompassed the arrests of the police officers charged in Floyd's death as well as the nationwide protests that were sparked by the incident and President Donald Trump's controversial responses to them.

WNU Editor: This Gallup poll is actually a reflection on your political affiliation. Pride in the U.S. among Democrats has been cut in half since President Trump was elected. Pride among Republicans and Independents has basically stayed the same since 2016.

But considering that Liberals have beat the fuck out of people in Seattle and Portland for carrying the American flag on city streets, chances are good that this is a straight honest to goodness display of liberal values.

You're right lol you can't be a proud Democrat if you haven't torn down a specific race or gender or stomped their head at one point. They call this normal. They still vote for Maxine Waters -- she was the first major political leader to call for the formation of mobs and to harass people and to get in their faces and make them feel unwelcome. Who you ask? Well anyone opposing her view of a racist country. How ironic. Don't hate her, she truly doesn't know better. But vote her out. Vote all these people out that sew hatred. Hillary Clinton called for an end to civility until "we are back in power" how sick and twisted. And the media -CNN and NY times and WaPo and MSNBC - enabled them.. cheered them on.. I sure hope we see true justice soon and by that I mean investigations, ethic probes, corruption probes. We republican/right hearted people will stay peaceful no matter what. Let the world see who sowed and spewed the lies and the hatred. But win at the poll both or your history will quite literally be rewritten.
