WNU Editor: What a difference 30 years make. Thirty years ago when I was working in China, on many instances I saw their soldiers, and they all had ill-fitting clothes and boots. Today, they are almost at the standards of the U.S. Army. I can only imagine what these Chinese soldiers are going to look like 30 years from now.

They have no combat experience. China cannot match the US’s AAR’s and war college practices. All smoke and mirrors. They need to fight a major war before they could be considered front line.

They must fight one and win it. In the process of winning it, they must also have defeats that they must overcome.
