Has The Atlanta Police Force Walked Off The Job?

FOX News: Atlanta police see 'higher than usual number of call outs' after charges announced against officers

Atlanta police disputed claims that a large number of officers had walked off the job Wednesday after prosecutors announced charges in connection with the police-involved death of Rayshard Brooks -- but acknowledged that a “higher than usual” number of officers called out of work.

The department added that it still has enough resources to maintain operations and respond to calls.

Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard Jr. announced 11 charges against fired former officer Garrett Rolfe, including felony murder -- which could lead to the death penalty if he is convicted -- and three charges against officer Devin Brosnan, who has been reassigned.

I am reminded with George Floyd that many people dishonestly said that George Floyd didn't resist. In fact he did.(You might argue, be right, and succeed in convicting Chauvin of 1st degree murder since he checked the pulse and did not find one and kept kneeling on George Floyd.)

Now the guy in Atlanta in front of the microphones has said that the officers never informed that Rayshard that he was under arrest. Will video also show this is a lie? Maybe as they reached for the cuffs they were starting to Mirandize him and tell him he was under arrest and before their hands even went a few inches, Rayshard was pounding them?

The 1st cop on the scene did not want to deal with the situation. Other than the people in the Wendys wanting something done and/or being witnesses, he would have let is slide simply because it was trouble. Ray shard is black. The Wendy's manager had to do something, If a car pulls around Rayshard's car and accidently hits someone, because the view was obstructed, guess who gets sued? Wendy's. They have the deep pockets. But for that Antifa burns them.

Many black want someone like Rayshard to be let go, then let him go. If you check the google maps and the Wikipedia entry for Atlanta, it was in the Black part of town. Chances are he would have hit a black person. Now that would have been BLM justice.

I am so upset with many in the black community that they think every or most traffic stops or encounters with the police are going to end badly that they are obligated to fight or take off. Does not matter if it is a black cop under a black police chief under a black mayor under a Democrat governor under a Democrat President.

How many of those people before the microphone have wrestled with a male 6 foot or bigger and won? They have not walked in those shoes one iota.
