Majority Of Americans Believe The Vast Majority Of Police Are Doing A Good Job

Summit News: Poll: Clear Majority of Americans Agree With Trump That Vast Majority of Police Are Doing a Good Job

Despite weeks of anti-police protests.

Despite weeks of anti-police protests, a clear majority of Americans agree with President Trump that the vast majority of officers are doing a good job.

Respondents were asked by Rasmussen: “Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: “Our police have been letting us live in peace, and we want to make sure we don’t have any bad actors in there. [But] 99% of them are great, great people.”

56% of likely U.S. voters agree with Trump while 30% don’t agree. 14% remain unsure.

The poll also found that only 16% of Americans think a police-free society is a likely outcome.

WNU Editor: Even with the overwhelmingly negative coverage of the police in the past few weeks, I did expect a higher number of Americans saying the police are doing a good job. As to what is my opinion. I have met a lot of cops in my life. Both personal and through work. The vast majority are outstanding people who are dedicated to putting the bad guys in jail. Unfortunately, I have met some who are not. But overall I am grateful that we have them, and I shudder when I hear progressives talk about de-funding them with vague promises on who will then step in and take their place. The Rasmussen poll is here .... Only 16% Think A Police-Free Society Is Likely (Rasmussen).

You are quite the precious little yeast infection, aren't you?

The only way you can have a police free society is in a perfect society, which requires perfect people.

Find a group of perfect people and you will find a society without police.

IMO some socialist will find a degenerate case and says it proves their overall thesis.

Indeed. Few words and well employed. Thank you.

matthew: you remain as always a total asshole
Does the poll for the most unreliable pollster in the business note white/black diff? After all, the protests now are about police and blacks so such nonsense is indeed childish.

Secret Service now says it did use pepper spray to clear protesters during the Trump church photo op
The Secret Service's statement is the latest reversal from law enforcement agencies about what occurred in the moments leading up to President Donald Trump's walk outside the White House gates.
someday they will vote and get one story they can agree on and stay with it

The White House is floating a theory that travel from Mexico may be contributing to a new wave of coronavirus infections, rather than states’ efforts to reopen their economies.

The notion was discussed at some length during a meeting of the administration’s coronavirus task force in the White House Situation Room Thursday that focused, in part, on identifying commonalities between new outbreaks, according to two administration officials familiar with the discussions.

COVID-19 cases are currently rising in nearly half of states across the country, according to an Associated Press analysis. That includes Arizona, where hospitals have been told to prepare for the worst, and Texas, which now has more hospitalized patients than ever.

A new poll from Yahoo News and YouGov showed a stark divide between young and older Americans on several matters, including police officers and protests
Only 8% of young Americans, ages 18 to 29, have 'a great deal' of trust in law enforcement
Conversely, 36% of older adults over the age of 65 trusted officers
More than 80% of Baby Boomers also states that 'violent protest is not justified', despite the cohorts reputation for social activism
Many Baby Boomers were witness to the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s throughout the country
Americans have become more supportive of the Black L

I wonder, if someone is butt hurt, because they got rousted by campus cops for bothering coeds? May that be the reason for police hatred?

Better you read the open letter to America written by ex republican governor Shwarzenegger.

Young Communist,

Shwarzenegger had a Democrat as his Chief of Staff. He reached across the aisle and the Democrats snubbed him.

Shwarzenegger is many things. He is a good body builder, a good real, estate investor, and a good actor.

He is not however a good politicians. He was a flash in a pan.

After you last embarrassing debacle, which was lying about Italian history, which you should know, WTF are you even here?
