DW: Trump orders US troop reduction in Germany — report
The US president wants almost 10,000 US soldiers assigned out of Germany by September, according to the Wall Street Journal. The move is reportedly down to Germany not increasing its defense spending sufficiently.
US President Donald Trump on Friday told the Pentagon to reduce the number of troops stationed in Germany, a senior US official told the Wall Street Journal.
Last September, former US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell threatened such a move if Germany did not increase its defense spending.
The 9,500 soldiers slated to move would be assigned back home or to Poland and other allied nations.
The US currently has 34,500 troops in Germany. The move would cut down US troop numbers in Germany to 25,000. Around 17,000 US American employees support US troops in Germany, Reuters news agency reported.

Murderous Merkel, the SPD, the Greens, and the voters need to be taught a lesson.
This is not hasty. They were warned 9 months ago.
Berlin is literally violating a contractual agreement and is breaking the faith. So this is all on them.
In reality you cannot teach Merkel a lesson. She is a sick dog. She already has one foot in the grave. She has no children. She does not give a fuck.
By not funding the military Merkel is lowering and slowing German GDP.

If I recall this defense spending of Germany's has been unacceptable for some time.
The problem is some leaders and nations haven't yet come to realize what worked with the prior administration is history. You're not dealing with a presidential poser anymore.
That's a serious economic gut punch to Germany. And overdue.
Das Merkel Assumed office in 2005. Except for 2 years, 2008 & 2009, Defense spending has been decreasing in relation to GDP.

Fred why are you all uptight about these neo-NAZIS Germany training in Russia? You never had a problem with Russian tires to politicians journalists and academics in Europe before 1989.
Whenever people want to declassify files and name names about Russian Fellow travelers and worse, it is the Cold War is over and other reasons.
