Reuters: Washington prepares for major protest as U.S. officials move to rein in police
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Protesters are expected to gather in Washington for a huge demonstration on Saturday, its police chief said, as U.S. street marches over the killing of a black man in custody enter a 12th day and authorities move to rein in policing tactics.
George Floyd, 46, died on May 25 in Minneapolis after a police officer pinned him to the ground with a knee to the neck for nearly nine minutes. The killing has sparked days of protests across the United States against racism and police brutality, and also demonstrations around the world.
Some activists on social media have called for a million people to attend a protest in the capital.

WNU Editor: I have a very bad feeling about this, especially after I read this report .... National Guard in Washington D.C. are told NOT to carry guns or ammunition by Defense Secretary Mark Esper as he orders all active-duty troops out of the capital (Daily Mail).

He's locked away in his cabin so its no surprise he doesn't care or understand the powder-keg of a situation if you have the military present with weapons+live ammo.
I understand too well on what is happening because I witnessed it more than once.
The Pentagon is disarming their soldiers because they know what is about to happen.
AS you well know but choose to ignore, anons, it takes two to tango. Law enforcement, armed, is a deterrent to your immature heroes being immature.
Best thing anyone can do now is stay at home and refuse to take part in these demonstrations that have been used as cover for violent actions so many time. The fact that so many want to strut around shouting with their fists in the air shows the vast emptiness in their lives and their malleability to do whatever the media and entertainment industry tells them to do. They should all be ashamed of themselves.
