USA Today: Alexander Vindman retires from Army citing 'bullying' from Trump for impeachment testimony
WASHINGTON – The Army officer who testified in President Donald Trump's impeachment inquiry announced Wednesday he will resign from the military, citing intimidation from the White House.
Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman had seen his promotion to colonel delayed this summer,a hold-up that some viewed as retaliation for his impeachment testimony. Vindman testified that he was alarmed by Trump’s July 25 call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, during which Trump asked the Ukrainian leader to open investigations of former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, who had business interests in the country.
That conversation triggered Trump's impeachment, and Vindman became a star witness in the House Democrats' probe.
Vindman cited "bullying, intimidation and retaliation" by Trump in explaining his decision to retire, according to a statement from his lawyer David Pressman.

WNU Editor: When you try to "kill the King", make sure you succeed. Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman was hoping that his testimony would result in the removal of President Trump. It did not happen. And now he is "crying" that he is being bullied by the administration and that he has no future n the military?!?!?!? What did he expect?

A CNN "contributor" deal is no doubt in his future.
What a punk.
Maybe people at the White House did or maybe they didn't.
For sure, people around him in the workplace surely did. Some are sympathizers, but I would think 1/2 or more are not and they made him feel unwelcome with things great and small. They did not invite him to as many meetings as before. It was nothing such that HR could come in and point a finger at it, but nonetheless Vindmann was able to feel it. Maybe he was hoping to ride it out until November 3rd, but then said fuck it.
If Duckworth had been successful, he would have stayed.
Personally I am glad that Duckworth spoke up. she showed her true colors with Vindmann and with Mt Rushmore. @015 Duckworth and 2020 Duckworth said 2 separate things. The only difference was due to extreme partisanship. Duckorth was so loud and so extreme she could be tracked with WW1 radar.
Good riddance. The fact he testified in uniform when he came to work every day in suit and tie speaks volumes about how he feels about what the uniform represents. Political hack.
But "he was alarmed" quotes the article. This guy didn't come across,in my opinion, as an infantry officer during his testimony. More like someone in finance or similar at best. A clock punching individual who got his rank from nothing more than not making a ripple and putting in his time. The military is full of them. Carefully defending their turf. Uninspiring, and one under whom you'd not be pleased to spend your one year assignment.
As for the purple heart, there's two sides to that. The other ribbons, for those of you who were never in the military, are primarily records of where you were throughout your career, how crisp the crease in your uniform was and how sharp your morning salute. The longer you are enlisted, the more you garner. The medal at the top, left side, designates you were in an infantry unit, you were in a combat zone, and went out on operations for a minimum length of time. You didn't have to fire your weapon or see the enemy but you were where that was potentially an event you could experience.
That the man wore his uniform to the hearings was questionable. It always struck me as being behavior with a bit of showboat frosting. I'm sure this man is pleased to be a recipient of the current "thank you for your service" fad. Personally I'm uncomfortable with it. The time for that was 50 years ago. And back then, I would have preferred a job.
In addition to overseas deployments to South Korea and Germany, Vindman is a combat veteran of the Iraq War, and he served in Iraq from September 2004 to September 2005. In October 2004, he sustained an injury from a roadside bomb in Iraq, for which he received a Purple Heart.
WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU DONE BUT PISS ON OTHERS
I'm sure all of Vindman's colleagues and superiors whose promotions were on hold appreciated him hanging around as long as he did after Senator Duckworth announced her hold on promotions.
I think the Senator's antics could do nothing but turn Vindman's co-corkers against him. So much for help from a politician.
September 2004 to September 2005. In October 2004, he sustained an injury from a roadside bomb in Iraq, for which he received a Purple Heart.
He served in Iraq for 10 months after he was injured in the blast. Did John Kerry send him one of his band aids that he used in Vietnam?
How long is the scar? How deep? We talking about 1 stitch or 2 stitches?
Did Vindmann receive burns? Concussion? Severe overpressure?
If you Vidndmann at a country club pool would it be apparent with cursory or close inspection where he was hurt? Maybe after 2004, he was exceptionally small? That must be it. He left something in Iraq. No more manspreading while riding the subway.

Seagull PISSES on us yet again with its stupid post of 2:45.
Germany is a garden spot, a safe posting, compared to many Democrat occupied cities. You know it is bad, when your instructor tells you about the bullets flying through military housing from adjacent diverse neighborhoods.
Military housing is usually a very diverse neighborhood, but it is not ruled by Democrats and is in and of itself is safe.
