India - China Military Border Talks Have Stalled

At least 20 Indian soldiers, including a colonel, were killed and at least 43 Chinese men were wounded or killed on Monday night along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), a disputed border in the Himlayas (the red territory is controlled by India, and the beige and grey stripes, Aksai Chin, is Chinese but claimed by India, the white line which surrounds is what Indian believes its border should be, whereas the black line was agreed after then 1962 Sino-Indian War - a heavy defeat for India)

The Chinese are firm in their assertion that they are on their own territory at Pangong Tso, and have cited a road constructed by them during the 1999 Kargil Battle to stake claim.

New Delhi: The ongoing military talks between India and China have hit a roadblock at Pangong Tso, with the Chinese standing firm on their positions even though both sides agree in principle on the need for disengagement, ThePrint has learnt.

Sources in the defence and security establishment said more talks will be held in the future, adding that any substantive movement forward may only be possible through diplomatic dialogue, and not military talks. There is a feeling, sources added, that the Chinese are looking at talks at a “higher level” to resolve the situation mutually.

WNU Editor: I have dealt with the Chinese and their government for almost 35 years. You can take this to the bank. On certain issues the Chinese are never going to back down/or compromise. This is one of them.

China had the element of surprise in this heinous attack. Yet they lost even this one by body count and in the eyes of the world. Go, India!
Never mess with Indians. Chinese don't even play cricket Haha some Indians play that madness for days with no break. Ambush Indian soldiers my ass. Better luck next time
