That is right. Maybe he did and fell anyway. It would be useful to do a study on the clothing and physiology of it. Ergonomics books say that women can withstand a humid heat better than men. Maybe we should have had a female honor guard out there since it was so heart. Okay, all kidding aside would a different fabric have been "breathed" better? Generals worry about how uniforms look and tinker with it constantly. They worry about wrinkles. But have they studied heat loads soldiers have with different uniforms and different fabrics. Maybe Americans are near stuck up about uniforms as Muslims are about female clothing. Other countries have shorts in their uniforms. Virginia has a semi-tropical climate. Some militaries in tropical countries wear shorts. For a Muslim to see well turned ankle of a woman sends them into fits of joy. Would seeing a knee send a general into a fit of apoplexy or go to SCOTUS to ask for a definition of smut?
Bet those uniforms were synthetic to keep a crease and not cotton.
Much easier nowadays to simulate a heat load for a person given different fabrics and environmental stress with computer software.
I am not blaming the soldier. I am looking first to the organization. After he fell on top of heat exhaustion or heat stroke he could have brain bleed from the fall and they are standing at attention? How fast is he getting aid?
One more thing.

John Lewis will go down in infamy with Ted Kennedy and John McCain as an aristocrat. Like them he was a septuagenarian/octogenarian, who relinquished his elected office when they pried it from his cold dead hands. He was 79 years and 10 months and a few days old when he was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer/ What did he think was going to happen? Who was taking care of his constituents for the last 6 months?
I notice in John Lewis's long, long Wikipedia page that it did not list his policy positions. Interesting.

A note of condolence was the best that could be done under the circumstance. Those circumstances being that the Democrats are racist, supremacist, fascist and more.
Did you not read that Rep Bass (D) said don't show up or say anything.
If Trump had remained silent, he gets criticized.
If Trump sends condolences, he gets criticized
If Trump shows up, he gets criticized.
So Democrats have set up this circumstance, where they get to have their cake and eat it too, while everyone else has to eat their shit.
