* China’s president says they have ‘important responsibility’ to safeguard the country’s territory, sovereignty and maritime interests
* He also went to Shantou, where he praised overseas Chinese for their contributions to the nation’s reforms
President Xi Jinping spent the second day of his Guangdong tour visiting a military base, where he called on marines to improve combat readiness and stay vigilant. He also toured Shantou, the hometown of many overseas Chinese, on Tuesday.
The president will take part in celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of the Shenzhen special economic zone on Wednesday.
At the military base near Shantou in the east of the province, Xi told marines they should aim to be a “multifunctional, rapid response, all-weather and region” fighting force.

Update: Xi stresses war preparedness during PLA Navy Marine Corps visit (Global Times)
WNU Editor: When I hear a major leader talk about "preparing to go to war" .... they usually end-up going to war.

WNU,
Yes, I agree with you and especially coming from dictator and more from aggressive dictator. The question is when.
Why is Xi so mad in the world? I hope he can still sleep!
I think there is a checklist of predefined conditions on when to act(build-up) and ultimately start one. Instead of China's 'wait and see', they do a 'see and act'. China's current posturing is half-committed, stressing everybody else. And only when their adversaries have become burnt-out they'll start their full commitment.
Logistically, western countries are at in disadvantage. And all of this are happening in China's backyard. If the initial strategy is to burn-out, then it is working.
Hes losing his grip on power, China is this all consuming entity. Throw in trash and it spits out this well reversed, almost perfect response. There is no negotiating with an entity like the current governing body because they have no power. China is not nice... playing pretend doesn't serve the world.
Wnu, remember it was XI , when sworn in as emperor for life, who told his army to only be loyal to him(like Hitler did) and on the same day, years ago already, told them not to fear death.
This was then followed by:
1. Land grabs
2. Mass militarization
3. Murder of Indian soldiers
4. Ramming of international OP using Fisher ships on high seas, and severely beating them for fishing in disputed waters
5. Massive spy program
6. Concentration camps and sterilisation programs for unwanted
7. Theft in the trillions through industrial espionage
8. Economic warfare damage in the trillions to the west thanks to the WUHAN virus
If Xi doesn't resign or isn't experiencing a dramatic life changing incident, then we will be at war
It's Xi who is the problem. He is Hitler, but overseas a 50 times larger army
North Korean leaders have always expressed this attitude, and usually for the digestion of their own countrymen.
I don't see why this would be different here; projecting strong force.
6:42 respectfully, have you been to China?
I've been, many times. China is more like Nazi Germany, massive, state coordinated and owned industrialisation, militarization, forced labour, concentration camps, land grabs, conflicts with all neighbor's, army directly sworn to Xi
AND ... importantly.. mode people don't understand this.. Chinese are fiercely patriotic, itching for a fight and think the Han Chinese are destined to rule all of China and the world. The concentration programs and mass murder is currently directed against Chinese citizens who don't meet the purity criteria of the CCP
They're 1.5bn strong, their army is 50 times that of Hitler. And they have 0 problems declaring you an unwanted. You're not even Chinese. They murder their own. Think of what they'll do to you
And riddle me this.. if you don't stand up after they've infected you, after they've stolen trillions and trillions from you, and on top caused economic damages in the tens of trillions, and on top called you racist and told you to shut up and not complain and not ask questions about the Wuhan virus, when exactly is it that you'll stand up?
Thank you people for your comments. Who loves the CCCP and Pooh Bear? No one!
