Update: The science of scanning these signatures is also dubious .... Georgia Requires Signature Matching On Mail-In Ballots, But The Science Is Dubious (Forbes). And since over 750,000 mail-in ballots have already been requested in Georgia for two Senate elections, I cannot help but feel that we are going to see another fight over mail-in ballot harvesting and the legitimacy of the result.

Does it matter what Obama may or may not have said since mail in ballots are legal in most of our states and with the pandemic, folks are going to want to vote by mail rather than standing in long lines. This habit change will be somewhat like shopping on line and have food delivered etc etc will change in our nation

You would not design an email system the way that Democrats have designed voting.
There are different structures to ensure that email is secure for legal and other reasons.
When Obama does not have a dog in the fight, he is apt to be less partisan in his answers. That is his answers are more likely to be true. Obama said this after he was a lame duck and was not going to run for office again.
Obama has a fair degree of knowledge about politicking both legal and illegal. So it does matters.
