Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will on Wednesday take over Brexit talks from their chief negotiators.
The EU's Michel Barnier and the U.K.'s David Frost have been ordered to sum up the remaining obstacles for their respective bosses, who will look each other in the eye for the first time since Britain formally left the EU in January.

WNU Editor: Long time readers of this blog know that I have never been optimistic of a Brexit agreement ever occurring between the UK and the EU. The political and ideological differences between the two sides are too vast, coupled with the fact that both sides are reluctant to compromise. But miracles do happen, and we will know in the coming days and weeks if one will happen with Brexit.
