(CNN)President-elect Joe Biden is expected to unveil a major Covid-19 relief package on Thursday and his advisers have recently told allies in Congress to expect a price tag in the ballpark of $2 trillion, according to two people briefed on the deliberations.
The Biden team is taking a "shoot for the moon" approach with the package, one lawmaker in close contact with them told CNN, though they added that the price tag could still change.
The proposal will include sizable direct payments to American families, significant state and local funding -- including for coronavirus vaccine distribution and other emergency spending measures -- to help those struggling during the pandemic.
Biden is set to announce the details of his plan in Wilmington, Delaware, Thursday evening.

Trump taxes and school records?
The Democrats plan to destroy the USA continues. After 2 years of Biden and 2 years of Kamala Harris, the USA will be beyond redemption. The blame goes to to Democrat voters who unleashed this shitstorm upon us.
Obama sent a new standard going forward by not releasing his records.
Obama's school records are important to see how he registered, who paid for his college, his GPA, his course load, his thesis and the courses he took.
Trump's taxes have already been released by breaking the law.
For some odd reason Trump did not donate his used underwear to charity and write it off on his taxes. What can I say. Trump would never make it in the Clinton Clan.
Americans for Tax Reform recently reviewed Bill Clinton's tax returns and discovered he overpriced the value of his used underpants and other clothing items that he donated to charity to increase his tax write-off when he was governor of Arkansas.
Different states have laws against donating used mattresses for health reasons. What made Bill think he could donate his skidmarks?
