France Says Iran Is Building Nuclear Weapons. Need To Urgently Revive The 2015 Deal

PARIS (Reuters) - Iran is in the process of building up its nuclear weapons capacity and it is urgent that Tehran and Washington return to a 2015 nuclear agreement, France’s foreign minister was quoted as saying in an interview published on Saturday.

Iran has been accelerating its breaches of the nuclear deal and earlier this month started pressing ahead with plans to enrich uranium to 20% fissile strength at its underground Fordow nuclear plant.

That is the level Tehran achieved before striking the deal with world powers to contain its disputed nuclear ambitions.

The Islamic Republic’s breaches of the nuclear agreement since President Donald Trump withdrew the United States from it in 2018 and subsequently imposed sanctions on Tehran may complicate efforts by President-elect Joe Biden, who takes office on Jan. 20, to rejoin the pact.

Iran is in luck. They have China Joe in the White House, a man very comfortable accepting a hands off massive bribe. A man expert in handing out favors and bribes in exchange for a bribe, that’s China Joe. So Impredict China Joe, the EU, Iran, Russia and China do another Iran deal. Iran freezes in place for 5 years and pockets $10 billion as restitution for America’s sanctions.

"Democracy weakness was the engine of Adolf Hitler."

Hitler was not an evil genius.

He was just some guy.

Hitler did the usual hominid tactics of forming a group. His group was Romania, Hungary, Italy, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Japan. He wanted to add Greece, but some vain glorious person spoiled Hitler's plans.

If Hitler had been more credibly winning, he would have added Turkey and Spain to his coalition. Later he would have added Iran and Egypt. He also had Indian allies in mind.

Hitler also judged how far he could transgress. He did so with the Rhineland (1936), rearmament, Austria(1938), and Czechoslovakia (1939). You do not have to 100% evil or a genius to play brinksmanship

Hannah Arendt spoke of the banality of evil.

banal
adj
lacking force or originality; trite; commonplace

Hitler is banal. Hitler is just some guy. So are the Ayatollahs. The wrapping is a little different, but it is all so predicable. Like Jac says.
