Half Of Twitter's Daily Users Are Also Followers Of President Trump

Twitter shares fell after the site temporarily banned President Donald Trump for his dangerous rhetoric when a mob of MAGA fans stormed the US Capitol at his behest. The 89 million followers on Trump's main Twitter account, @realDonaldTrump, represent nearly 48 percent of the company's total base of monetizable daily active users

 * Twitter's share price slipped 1.8 percent by closing bell on Thursday
 * It came after the social media giant suspended Donald Trump's account for 12 hours on Wednesday over his dangerous rhetoric about riots at the Capitol
 * Facebook - which went far further than Twitter with an 'indefinite' suspension on Trump's account - saw its shares rise by two percent on Thursday
 * The difference between the companies' showings likely stemmed from the fact that Trump's presence on Twitter has a much bigger impact on its bottom line
 * Trump's 89 million Twitter followers represent nearly half of the company's total base of monetizable daily active users
* Less than two percent of Facebook's daily active users - 35 million - follow Trump

Twitter shares fell after the site temporarily banned President Donald Trump for his dangerous rhetoric when a mob of MAGA fans stormed the US Capitol at his behest.

The social media giant suspended Trump's account for 12 hours on Wednesday evening after Washington, DC, was plunged into chaos as hundreds of the president's followers staged riots both outside and within the halls of Congress.

Twitter's share price slipped 1.8 percent by closing bell on Thursday - a drop perceived to be related to its actions against Trump.

WNU Editor: You can count me as one of those daily users because of President Trump. If he was not on Twitter, my usage of that social media platform would definitely be less than what it is now.

As for following President-elect Joe Biden.

I have been following him since the summer, but you can tell that the posts are not from him. Everything is scripted and it is used as a follow-up to news that is first given to the main stream media.

President Trump does the opposite. His Twitter account often breaks the news before the main stream media can report on it. Case in point. His announcement that he will not attend the inauguration was first reported on his Twitter feed this morning and not from the wire services. You can also tell that it is from him and not from a panel of media experts who scripted and scrutinized every word.

"...scripted and scrutinized every word". An entire industry. Small and nearly useless.

Joe's probably listening to Tommy Dorsey on his record player sipping his ovaltine. His wife probably reviews and approves, youknow, "The Doctor"

Never before had the public been so close to the inner thoughts of a sitting President.
That’s what made his Twitter feed so vital.
It’s what attracted me to the place again years after originally signing up.
We’ll never experience this again.
Hate to be the one planning Twitters’ business plan for 2022.

Richard Barnett, the man who allegedly broke into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office, posed for pictures and stole mail from her desk, was arrested Friday morning in Little Rock, Arkansas, and has been charged with three federal counts.

He was charged with entering a restricted building, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, and stealing public property.

West Virginia state Republican lawmaker Derrick Evans has also been charged with illegal entry after he allegedly recorded himself in a video entering the Capitol.

Two other men, Christopher Michael Alberts and Mark Leffingwell, were also charged by federal investigators.

U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski said Friday that Donald Trump should resign the presidency immediately and that if the Republican Party cannot separate itself from Trump, she isn’t certain she has a future with the party.

“I want him to resign. I want him out. He has caused enough damage,” Murkowski, R-Alaska, said during an interview from her small Capitol office, steps away from the Senate chambers that were invaded by pro-Trump rioters on Wednesday.

“I think he should leave. He said he’s not going to show up. He’s not going to appear at the at the inauguration. He hasn’t been focused on what is going on with COVID. He’s either been golfing or he’s been inside the Oval Office fuming and throwing every single person who has been loyal and faithful to him under the bus, starting with the vice president. He doesn’t want to stay there. He only wants to stay there for the title. He only wants to stay there for his ego. He needs to get out. He needs to do the good thing, but I don’t think he’s capable of doing a good thing,” she said.

Trump to blame for riot, Murkowski says

Murkowski said that while “there may have been many, many, many, many good Americans who came to Washington, D.C., because they felt strongly in support of this president,” Trump incited them to storm the Capitol after a speech near the Washington Monument.

Even before Election Day, the president refused to say whether he would accept the election results, Murkowski said, and then tried to overturn the results.

Permanent suspension of @realDonaldTrump

Lisa Murkowski was literally given her senate job by her daddy. She is a hereditary politician.

Her opinion means exactly squat.

But clerky likes to quote people as clueless and venal as himself.

Neo-Nazis, QAnon oh my

QANON is harmless. They believe that there are a lot of politicians working across national borders who are engaged in pedophilia.

"QAnon is a disproven and discredited far-right conspiracy theory[2] alleging that a cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles is running a global child sex-trafficking ring"

British parliament hit by massive sex scandal

"LONDON: In what could be the biggest sexual scandal to hit Westminster,
20 “establishment figures” which includes at least 10 “famous” current and
former politicians may soon face investigations over allegations of historic
child abuse.

The prominent public figures are believed to have been part of an elite
paedophile ring as they have been identified “again and again” by callers
to child abuse helplines."

Duke of York is guilty and yet he is never brought to trial.

There is not a decade that goes by without an inquiry or arrest of British political figures about child sex. And you wonder why people think there is a problem.

Neo NAZIs's really?

"That would make them less than 0.003 percent of the population, even on the higher end of the SPLC’s estimate. " Dauly Beast

3 in 100,000 people and Fred still checks under his bed?
